Your Beta Plans?

I will most likely stay away from the first stage. Mainly because I like my save files

 

I will definitely play at Stage 1 and hopefully find a few bugs that I can report. My play time will vary between family and work, but I will no doubt find the time.

2. Yes, I fully intent to try out every stage. I actually like to see how a game evolves over time as it works towards release and am well used to dealing with buggy software.
3. Unknown. I currently plan on Glitch but my opinions may change.

It is very nice to finally know what the beta stages will be. I do hope a good way to report bugs/etc. will be available to all those who participate in the early stages. Things should shape up pretty quick once it gets rolling though.

3. Either a Floran or Novakid. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I understand why people want to get in so early in the beta, but that's not for me. My first Starbound experience will be the one the devs intended: a full, polished game. I was among the first to register for the forum and know about this game, back when all we had was concept art. What's so bad about waiting a little while more?

3:ALL THE BETA! err I mean Human probably most of the beta, while trying out the other races, then when full releace comes ill probably try Novakid to see how it is and if it feels like it can go with my play style, ill play it.

People who love to bug test and get into the guts of the game aren't always the same people who enjoy the finished product - and the reverse like you.
Sometimes they can be both.

Which is all perfectly fine.

 

I hope to play all the stages and as much of the content as possible, systematically hunting or bugs. Delicious, juicy, chitinous bugs.

 

I plan to flock around stage 1 and see if i can gather some bugs and just have a fun time.
Seeing how they think stage 2 will be more stable save wise i might try to build up my character
to get new gear ect ect.

1: Yes, with some friends to help with the bughunt
2: I'll be playing all stages of the beta
3: I will most likely play as either Hylotl or Glitch at the start, then switch to Novakid once they're released (although, my mind is still not made up on this decision)

3. Primarily humans, but I will likely try out other races as well.

My plan was to start on modding almost immediately, but I started looking through some of my older game ideas I've had before and I started working on one of them seriously, but I still have mods mind I'd like to work on at one point.

 

I will play beta to test and enjoy.
I love to see how far games have gone from a real beta.
Also, I have too much excitement, and I preordered.
I'll probably even do some youtube videos to show the game off.

 

If you mod the game then you should mod in your race!

Thinking the same thing. Mostly just want to see what kind of API we're getting - Lua modding has been very awesome in other games I've played/worked on, so I'm hoping it will be equally awesome here.

Probably, until another race of my liking comes out. So far I like the Bird race the most but if they bring out more races, I might try them out
