I hope this day will never happen... I can't imagine these forums filled with trolls and immature teens/kids.

 

I'm pretty sure I'm friends with that person on steam.

It certainly is a nice forum thus far, everyone seems to be excited and full of anticipation, which leads to some great positive discussions, but sadly the pessimistic part of me knows this will likely all change post-release. Every single game forum I've been on since before the release has done just this. At any rate, here's hoping it all works out, and if it doesn't hopefully we'll all still be here to add a positive backbone to the community.

I love these forums. I just hope, as many others have said, that they can stay strong.

 

Although I spend most of my time on the irc chat, I do agree that the people here are quite nice.
I must admit though that I too kinda fear that there will be trolls eventually.
But until that happens, this place is good.

We just have to enjoy the forums as they are now, while we can.

 

This forum is simply amazing. Never see such a nice forum before except for these small group/guild forums, but to be quite frank even they tend to be more "hostile". Also even though I rarely use the beautiful smilies on this forum I often catch my self with a smile while reading different threads here.

I agree these forums are the best i've seen, its sad to think about the decline that will occur.

 

I greatly enjoy these forums, and hope that it doesn't become like the Minecraft forums, but do fear the day. It simply seems to be the result of a lot publicity for a forum. I hope these are different, but I have my doubts.

 

I totally agree with all of this hahah. I'm not really on too many forums but I'm really enjoying the people here, they're all pretty nice and they seem pretty smart, lots of good ideas on here.
I mean compared to what I've seen of the minecraft forums, this must be like the top of awesome forums

 

Oh, god. Don't bring the horror back. *has flashback of Minecraft forum, swamped with ROBLOX fans, ROBLOX forums swamped with Minecraft fans (not as bad but still hating) Terraria forums swamped with both...* someone get my laser shotgun.

We can fend off the noobs. For a while. We need SOME sort of refuge from haters, children and really annoying bronies though. (Disclaimer: DON'T KILL ME BRONIES, SOME OF YOU ARE ANNOYING, MOST OF YOU AREN'T!)

To be honest, the only reason i am here is because... eh... outside world. Too different. That world is filled with YOLO, swag, ducks, morons & pretend nerds who don't know what E3 is.
It pisses me off... that's why i am here. To find human species that are capable of thinking otherwise. To find people who care.
I'm keeping the integrity of Starbound by not mentioning it's name. I say "Starbound" in school and everyone... i repeat, everyone said: "Lol, what stupid game is that? U nad ur stupid nerd games. COD FTW!"

I'll be honest, I was resisting joining these forums, thinking "Oh God, this is going to be like all the other forums right?"
But honestly, everyone here is pretty awesome, and things concerning rules aren't really that strict. Although, I'm pretty sure when the game comes out and obtains plenty of exposure, we're going to have unthoughtful and idiotic people sooner or later, which is sad to think about I hope this game doesn't get TOO much exposure. Going to reflect back on the first time I mentioned Terraria in school...
