    Great. The only thing I wish they would change is the death animation, I wish it had a bit more flair to it. Besides that the first boss was great

    My first impressions are not fit for this forum.
    I honestly am disappointed after so much buildup that the boss was so generic. A cheesy ufo that spawns minions? Thats been.. done in to many videogames to count.

    I was really hoping for something more unique.

    That yogcast lets play was... horrible, was really boring watching them playing the game to be honest...

    I thought the first boss was awesome, and it includes penguins. I couldn't have asked for more. :love:

    I imagined it differently, but I like it! It's a cool looking boss monster. I like how it spawns penguins as minions.

    Something a little more creative then a quasi-mascot for a boss?
    I don't know, it feels cliche and generic to me. Maybe because there have been a ton of fights like this since the nes era.

    Its just.. nothing to really write home about at all.

    Watching someone else play a non-confrontational or coop game isn't fun; especially sandbox. I find myself screaming at the monitor to 'do this, do that, pickup that, no not there! ARRGGGG'

    At least with a PVP game, if the person you're spectating does something stupid...they're usually rewarded with a swift death as payment.

    I personally think they need to amp up the boss difficulty.... And yes the yogscast was horrible would rather see the devs play.

    Granted the guys playing were flailing about and didn't portray the game as well as if Tiy and the other devs had showcased it. It's still a good example of how people not familiar with the game might play though which was part of the purpose. for the first boss, it was actually pretty cool I thought ( be it somewhat generic which is okay).
    One comment I would like to make to the Devs regarding the boss fight is when the bullets hit the boss the impact site should not be at the origin of the boss but at the location of the bullet. An easy fix.

    They sucked at playing but it was enjoyable. The boss was awesome. And it's just the first boss, don't get upset over something so little.

    With how horribly these yogscast people played I am taking this boss fight with about a metric ton of salt... The small perspective I could see of the boss fight seems like it would be fun to play yourself but the overall "holy crap I cant play this game worth anything" vibe the yogscast people gave made the boss fight and most of the rest of the gameplay have fully MEH feeling overall.

    Anyone else feel that Molly and Bartwe were there in the background spawning items or placing things just so these people could progress? That one yogscast fellow seemed to do a straight beeline towards the beacon once he realized that his party members were not assisting.

    Hm, that could also explain why the devs were messing with invisible admin and stuff some days ago..... :unsure:

    I learned that the demo map was setup for the event so all the items/spawn locations were already known. Good in a way otherwise we probably never would have seen that fight.

    I personally thought the boss fight was alright, the variety of add spawns and the different attack patterns of the ship made it look fun. There was a good moment when all three of them were concentrating fire on the ship while standing in different locations.
    It'll be more fun to actually play yourself then to watch someone else do it.

    When the devs get back they should use one day to stream gameplay of them playing it in a server, the know how to play at least.​

    Now that you mention it, I'm almost positive the Glitch guy should have died during the boss fight. he had no visible life left and took additional hits even but survived. Behind the scenes shenanigans? I think so!

    Game-play? Good. Yogscast? Horrible.
    Their track record for messing around really soured it for me. :wut: Especially that "Sips" guy.
    The boss looks brilliant though, and keep in mind that they might have not finished the death animation for it either.
    Who cares if it's generic or cliche'd, atleast it looks challenging to some degree.

    Also, I wouldn't think you can find the Distress Beacons naturally in chests as it says in the quest box that you have to *craft* it.
    The devs probably put it there to atleast show off the first boss.
