Ahem, it does at first glance seem to have XCOM + FTL + Starbounds in it, which is kind of cool. Ehm. So?

 

Pfft, this game and StarBound is an obvious rip off of Asteroids by Atari; I mean Space AND shooting? Even Asteroids itself is pushing it with that ordeal.

 

Isometric perspective? PFF Super Mario RPG Clone.

This game reminds me more of FTL than Starbound... I'd actually quite like to try it out, as I'm a big fan of FTL, thanks for linking this to me.

Yea, most people like to play games that are similiar

 

I'm sure many people have already said this, but that Star Command game looks nothing like Starbound at all.

 

Just because Star Command and Starbound are both pixelated and classified as Sci-fy doesn't mean that they are similar games. Starbound is a sandbox, adventure game while Star command seems more of a ship builder or "dungeon keeper-esque" kind of game

 

Looks like 3D FTL in SPAZ. Not like Starbound

 

Bethesda will sue. Starbound is a title comprised of two parts: "Star" + "bound".
Elder Scrolls is also made of two parts: "Elder" + "Scrolls".
They already sued Notch for using just "Scrolls", so I'm sure that Tiy is next on the chopping block. Lol

 

Starbound doesn't look anything like this. No major relations or links.

I'd just like to say, thanks for telling me about this game! I'm quite interested in it, now xD I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it and cover it for some videos.
Multiplayer could be interestig, as well. Maybe I'll start a new Discussing series on this.

Yeahh.. You cant copyright an "idea" you can copyright a game. Thus someone cant take the "Floreans" an put them into their game without permission from ChuckleFish.

And honestly.. Copyrighting a side scrolling sandbox building game? If they could do that, I'm sure Terraria would have done it from the start. (Or any other game that came before it, if any)
