Yet another too similar game to Starbound....

I'm telling everyone that Starbound needs to get their copyright out there now before there r 2 Starbounds on the market. And I won't know which one is the real one

 

Well it's only a space-ship exploration, not building or sandbox or even contains a playable character. I don't think its that bad, like I said before, it's just a spaceship exploration and you can't even explore inside planets.

 

Besides the fact it uses pixels, it doesn't remind me of SB one bit. Looks like a completely different type of game.

It actually looks a bit like Star Trek.

 

From their kickstarter. While similar games, it does not look like Starbound. It has retro graphics but is Isometric.

Retro Graphics =/= Starbound

 

I don't see any problem with this game.

 

Starbound looks superior imo.

Yea it's not hard for something to become similar to that description.

Yes it has it's similarities,
But then almost every game in the world can be compared to another,
A example many people will get here is the common comparison of Starbound to Terraria,
And the common comparison from Terraria,
Games similar in aspects but very different in gameplay.

 

Many sic-fi games are in development at the moment, Starbound is just one of many. Although I have no problem whatsoever with the others, STARBOUND IS MASTER GAME!

 

It doesn't seem anything remotely like Starbound; it looks like FTL. Nice find though, I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Nothing. He's worrying over nothing. Though Starbound and Star Command share a similar aspect (they both are in space); they are completely different games from completely different genres.

 

what exactly is copyright going to protect here? how is this any similar to starbound other than having 'star' in the name, and that it's a pixel-art based game? Please, get facts together first before judging.

 

im sure "starbound" isnt even copyrighted yet, that and you cant rilly have copyright clams on ideas

 

I fail to see how isometric spaceship management is similar enough to 2D planet exploration to warrant this.

 

I'm pretty sure I will be able to figure out which "starbound" is the "real" starbound. As such I'm sure most people will be able to figure it out.

Also that game looks cool.

 

Yeah that looks absolutely nothing like Starbound.

 

I did not know about this game until you posted about it. Thanks! it seems like a really nice game to be honest. It looks like a mix between FTL and X-COM, which is a combo that I approve of

Like others have said already also, it really isn't similar to Starbound, other than having a retro style and being in space, I guess

 

It has "Star" in the title? Must be a rip off.

Eh, well I guess it's not something to get worried about. it just seemed like they took ideas off starbound, but i might be seeing things.

 

I personally think you just saw star in the name,
Saw that there were some similar characteristics then jumped the gun to copy,
Not really much to worry about but I really don't see the need to start pointing fingers.

 

All this "Copyright" and "Patent" stuff is going way too far.
When will people realize that there are only so many ideas?


Can't similar ideas prosper together in peace? Or is that too much?
