year 2 but haven't had the furnace blueprint

hi everyone! I'm already year 2 in the gameplay and i don't know why i haven't received the furnace blueprint. It said that Clint would give me in the morning after i went to the mine and i did go there so many times. i don't know what i've missed. it's so inconvenient without the furnace because i can't smelt ores into bars. what should i do? help please!!!

 

i know you get one somewhere as a reward, probably the sommunity center boiler room but that is not really a solution... did you try a different patch version?

 

Pretty weird, though. How can you even play till year 2 without one?
Well, i'd say complete the Blacksmith bundles in Community Center to receive one, but there you need the smelted bars. Report that bug maybe.

 

Yeah, not sure how to help. Clint should have stopped by your house in a cutscene shortly after your first visit to the mines and/or after you brought home more than 5 of one type of Ore and some Coal.

 

@Afterscore any way you could help by modding it into the save file?

 

I can probably add the Furnace into 1401's crafting recipes yeah.

It won't make the cutscene start but you'll be able to craft furnaces. I can also take a look to see if the string for getting the furnace recipe ever actually fired and let you know what went wrong.

Zip your save folder here when you see this and I'll put it in for you.

Go to your \AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves folder and then right click the folder that has your characters name then go to "Send to" in the drop down box, select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and it will make a zip file copy of the folder in the same place. Once you've got that come back here click on "Upload a File" down in the bottom right of the quick reply box and upload the zipped folder of your save file. Either @ me or quote me so I can see that you've done it and I can get straight to work.

 

I forget but isn't that a reward once you get your mining to a certain level?

 

Pretty sure the string for clint arriving to give you the furnace blueprint is either when you sleep after having picked up a certain amount of Ore, or at least a one geode from the mines.

Given that 1401 is in year 2, I would imagine they would have gotten plenty of both by now so something must have gone wrong in the data strings.

 

After looking it up, you get it once entering the mines, so it is safe to assume they have done that. Not disputing you btw, just wanted to remember that, been a while since I've gotten mine!

actually I have ores and geodes but i have never got any of them from the mines. only got them when breaking the stones or fishing. so that's maybe the problem?
I thought I just enter the mines and then I have the blueprint the next day.

 

Try that then, go grab about 5 copper or so from the mines and see if Clint shows up the next day.

 

clint does say "i see you got ores there" or something like that

i think its the ores that trigger it

then again it could just be bugged for you =p

 

i'm not sure how to do it because the cart and the elavator in the mines are out of order. any missions that i have to finish before so i can fix them?

 

wait... your saying you never made it to level 5 in the mines?

well.... maybe you should explore the mines then lol

the elavator isnt broken you havnt gotten deep enought

 

little tipp for you, if you wanna make made money in the game, reach level 80 in the mines asap or invest all your money in gold oro by clint, build quality sprinklers and have fun getting rich

 

I would also say go to the mines, reach level 5 and you'll be quite sure to have clint showing up at your door next day sayin "i see you've been hitting some ores for yourself lately" or something like that. He will tell you that he got this blueprint laying around for the forge and doesn't need it anymore.

Elevators start working as soon as you find them in the mine. There's one at every 5th floor. Every 10th floor holds a treasure chest.

 

I should have known about this before. thanks for letting me know
