Hey can you put a vid showcasing each mech?

 

I might be able to whip up a few, but I don't have time tonight. I might do it tomorrow.

EDIT: Apparently the video can only be watched in 720p. No idea why.

 

It's a nice mod and all but putting it on nexus hurts you alot not everyone can just give up money to get it like me it hurts me cause i'd like it but I'm not willing to spend money that can link to an account they can keep stealing from for one mod that might not even be here when they finish all updates please try to see it from my stand point mod maker.

What I thought... if this mod could me made work on Multiplayer, and the Mechs could damage eatch other.
We could do a kind of 2D Titanfall.
(Needs natural to add some anti Mech Weapons too)

 

Nexus doesn't require money for an account, just for a premium account that gives you faster download speeds. Which shouldn't matter for this mod because it's not very large.
And anyway I have also hosted it on a mirror site, the link is on the front page

Update so far, I've fixed the reported bug about player appearing backwards when meleeing with the Rho mech while walking backwards. I also think I've fixed the "sound explosion on mech spawn" bug but it occurs so rarely for me that I haven't been able to confirm it. Tiy's upcoming update patch notes are very exciting (modding-wise especially), so I am holding off on any huge projects so that I have less to try to adapt when the patch gets released. Hopefully expansions in the engine will allow cooler integration, and hopefully *fingers crossed* the possibility of mech stats like armor, health, regen, energy etc.

Instead, I've been working on a Rho variant:



The Pirated Rho! (need to think of a better name). The backstory is that this is the personal mech of a famous space pirate, who customized it with additional armor plating and a fearsome appearance. It also has a stronger plasma sword that sets creatures on fire and its tractor beam pulls enemies to the mouse pointer instead of directly to the mech; this allows fun things like tossing creatures around and whatnot. Unfortunately all these mods have their costs: the sword takes more energy to use, the tractor beam twice as much, and the jetpack has a much tougher time puhsing it around (extra weight from the plating and all...).

Design and nearly everything subject to change of course.

Well when I tried it said pay us money for an account nothing free so I was concerned it's good you though ahead to put on a different link I didn't really pay mind to the overview till you said linked to different site But like said When went to nexus said 2k and above account I went to make account it said that if want to make account not even prem you have to pay 1.25 or something in euro so if it was free it's not now at least not for people making accounts.

 

Perciselly how i did it.

 

only thing i would change is give the skull eye sockets a "glass like" visual effect (be able to see the character inside the mech) or maybe a faint glow =)

 

can you make a metal gear ex mech in a future update?

 

I can understand why not see them the mechs are sort of based on the mechs of star bound or even walking for them to move them could throw off all the walking completely or even make it not work at all as for glow it's a nice thought but the skull hides the cockpit so no need for glow to high light the chara but sort of out lines to make it look like they are higher in the mech as for the glass like look he did nice I mean we are talking about a coroporation that was trying to be best having a mech basically taken by a pirate who wanted to make it look scary and hard to beat but I'm thinking on terms of appeal for movie I guess.

 

This is a mod based on robocops evil corporation it's a nice thought but they are really far from one another so maybe not good idea unless you play it as a thing hm how put it game related easter egg maybe? but I'm thinking unrealistic terms here it be easier to just make a mod all about snake so that way you can a better chance as for the ship I'm sure there can be something used.

 

As i was thinking about it they could make them glow or something in the stead of glass more visaly apeling maybe?

 

Preview: Startup / shutdown animations!




While starting up/shutting down you can't do anything. It's only a short time but it means you can't hop in/out of a mech like superman. I am in the process of adding this to the sigma and theta mechs as well; I'll tune it so that getting in and out of a small mech is a lot faster than the bigger ones.

Made the skull translucent also so you can see your character inside
