Xbox one. Black screen on start-up.

I just purchased and installed stardew valley on Xbox one. When I go to open it, the stardew valley logo comes up and then fades to a black screen. There is no sound during any of this.
The game looks like a lot of fun and I would love to play it, but I can't get around this black screen. Is there anything I can do to solve this? Is this just a bug that needs fixed. Am I just completely screwed and need to forget all about playing it?

 

I have the same problem. I've gotten to the end of year three, unlocked 50 percent of the game and now all I get is a black screen. I'm so mad
