    1. Yes, I renamed all the appropriate files, including the structure ones.
    2. It starts me on the default ship every time.

    Alright, does the custom race also come with it's own ship?
    Aka, if you look into the kineptic's mod folder, is there a /ships/kineptic/ folder there as well?

    If both of them are providing Starbound with a shipmod, it might be that the kineptic ship is overwriting mine.

    If so, delete the /mods/kinepticracemodorwhatever/ships/ folder, or atleast cut+paste it somewhere else.

    Alright, so...having a bit of a problem with this mod. Been playing this with this ship for the Amfin race. I deleted the Amfin race's ship data, and it's been working wonderfully. I just reached the teir of ship that needs durasteel to get to (not sure which that one is) and after upgrading, the captains chair and tech station no longer work. When clicked, they make the beep, but no screen shows for them. Furthermore, on teleporting to the planet i was last at, the teleport back icon is missing. If it helps, i noticed that nothing in the ship actually changed from this upgrade. No door unlocks or fixes.

    That is extremely odd, checking the files myself there's no change to the teleporter after it's fixed.
    I'm not sure if Durasteel unlocks tier 4 or 5, however. But either one should have added additional cargo bays.

    Does your folder look like the one in corrupt20x6's image further up this page? ( With exception of the .structure file names? )

    There is the possibility it's my fault for tampering, as well. I went through the text file for the ship parts and swapped the hylotl parts it gives with the amfin ones. Though, I don't see why this would make them stop working after T5. I'm guessing my best bet would be to transfer all my loot planet side, then delete the shipworld folder. Double-check the amfin ship's config to the cruiser's (which -should- work fine assuming the amfin ship also works fine, correct?) then just reapply the upgrades.

    EDIT: On carefully messing about, I managed to reset the character's ship and quest data, with a fresh install of the mod, with the hylotl ship as the base. I just finished the floran dungeon quest, and turned in several side-quests, came back to my ship...and once again, captains chair and tech station unresponsive.

    That is just bizarre, is anyone else using the same mod having the same or similar kind of problems?
    I mean, the shipblocks for the later tiers are identical, save the doors getting switched out, so I can't understand why it's suddenly loading in a ship without functioning tech stations and such.

    I unfortunately have no idea how to help you with this, have you asked the creator of the race for help as well?
    Alternatively just try using a ship without changing the files to amfin?
    I haven't touched custom races so I have no idea how much they change things.

    I have noticed the amfin only have part of the ship progression, as the maker hasn't made the art for the higher tier ships. My guess is passing that tier is freaking the game out, trying to load resources for AI chat or tech functions for something not yet put in. Regardless, it's not too big a problem. ...Wait... the amfin ship folder has tier 1-4 named as amfintX.png, (X being the tier) but at t 5 it changes to Hylotlt5.png all the way to tier 8. That may be the problem! I'll have to try tomorrow and rename those ship files to hylotl.

    Edit: Alright, renaming the .construct files to the appropriate hylotl names worked like a charm. The ship is glorious, and has enough room for damn near everything. (I'm actually debating installing rails along the main hall for the rail-the to speed up moving in it..). There is one little problem, though...I have finished the ship progression, but it seems there is no additional tech station..I cannot for the life of me remember the name, but it lets you buy the "pokeball" item, the NPC spawner seller, and the rail builder, along with a few other things.

    Hi, So first off I have to say I LOVE this ship. Thanks alot for making it! So I finnaly got the ship on my Glitch. But all the door are "locked"...There are no doors on the ship, just invisible walls that make me unable to walk around the ship. Any ideas?:)

    That is very peculiar, have you tweaked any of the files, or have any other mods running?
    How far have you upgraded the ship? Even if the doors are visible/invisible, none of them would let you pass through and walk around the ship anyhow, they vanish when you unlock areas.
    If you walk up to one of the invisible doors and try to open it, will you get that " activated/denied" sound? If so, the graphics of them have been messed up, somehow.

    You could also try reverifying the gamefiles in steam? ( right click the game in your library, select properties, go to the local files tab, and click the verify integrity of game cache button. )

    OH do I feels stupid now. My ship was at max level. But after installing this mod it kinda got lower lever. Just did adminmode upgrade and the mod works fine! Thanks for the answer and again thanks for this huge ship! I dont know how to fill it haha :D

    This is my favorite ship, as it is the only one with adequate space for all the crafting tables and farming required for Frackin Universe.

    Just want to let you know it appears to work fine with the latest Spirited Giraffe stable update except the ship pet spawns outside the ship, just in front of the bridge/cockpit. (And he doesn't appear happy about it.)

    However, with the Purchasable Pets mod, the starter pet doesn't spawn, so no problemo.

    How to change FTL panel, teleport and locker screen to any other? I changed all files from "avian01..." to "human01..." etc. and i still have avian's panels.

    Ahuh, that's odd. I haven't really played the more recent versions, so I have no idea how the pets work, or if I can make them work, unfortunately. Good to hear that it works with the mod, though!

    Check out the customization folder that came with the mod, if you copy the files from races - human, you should get the human panels etc.

    How much doing would it take to make a couple more upgrade tiers?
    Can I upgrade the overall size? Can it be done on a per-tier basis, or would all the tiers require the same image size?

    I'm wanting to expand the cargo bay & add a mega-compartment underneath everything, (Uros IV was the runner-up).

    All tiers do not require the same image size, really. You can swap out any of the images for any of the tiers, but altering their size might make then un-align, and you'll need to re-align them via the .structure files.
    You'll likely have to mess around a bit in the .structure files quite a bit anyhow.

    Well, the work for adding more upgrade tiers would be: Altering the ship image to accommodate the new size, and make new block layouts.
    Making new block layouts for the later tiers would be pretty easy, but you'd also need to adjust the images the ship's composed of to make it look reasonable.
    ( Back.png, Front.png, plus Inner_Walls. )

    For the image size, that's a bit of an issue, because the ship is so large it has to be split up in multiple graphical files, expanding the ship up or down is easier than lengthwise.
    So expanding the cargo bays would be a bit more work, since you'd likely need to re-position some of the graphics ( You'd need to make an additional Inner_walls image or simply move those onto the Back and Front images instead. )
    While expanding down and adding a mega-compartment underneath everything would be far easier.
    ( You could use the Front_Decal image for example, and put all the art for the compartment there, with no need to overwrite or edit the ship's normal graphics, that way it would still support multiple colours even.
    That's why I added the Front_Decal and Back_Decal, so that extra stuff and graphics could be added without too much hassle.
    Just extending the Front_Decal image down, like taking it from 1800*560 to 1800*1000, and then putting in some graphics there should work. )

    All in all, altering the ship shouldn't be too much work, if you're somewhat familiar with making ships for Starbound. If you aren't, well then it can be a good learning experience.

    It's a beautiful ship! I use a different ship mod for each race (except the Hyotl, I like that vanilla design) including both of yours. But testing this on PG today, I started a new character and the pet spawned about 10 blocks in front of the SAIL station...in this case, outside the cockpit. This isn't the only ship mod with this problem, and I could likely edit the block files to place it behind the captain's chair, but thought you should know. I'll write a review after I play it a while, in case you have time to publish a fix.

    I'm not sure if you are still working on this mod, but the "unstable" version is now a stable release.

    I like how it only take a few upgrades to have access to enough rooms to start converting the ship into a mobile base and the container sections are large enough to grow trees and huge mushrooms in them.

    To fix the pet problem, just move the Techstation to the other side of the Fuel Hatch, also there are no background block behind the hatch and you can't place any.

    New Info 3/21/2016: Once you get the Tier 5 upgrade you don't get the Research Station added, and this is one of the items you get at that stage.
