Chu may make Buwaro look very cute when needed, but if you compare pony art style to chu's normal style well... there really isn't any contest. Its all those curvy lines and lack of definition!

 

That is a shame. I think most of her fan depictions are quite adorable. I have only seen a couple of episodes since it is not really my cup of tea, though I like the art style and a few of the fan videos.

 

Reading through this thread is making me all excited. I'm really looking forward to playing with you all!

Yea, the Fan Canon lore is probably 10 times deeper than what is actually depicted in the show.. My friend is trying really hard to convert me now >.> If only I could tell him I'm a furry... sigh.

eh i never got into MLP as much as alot of my friends did. I still found it incredibly interesting to watch whenever it was played on various projectors in high school (we were all cool like that) albeit from more of a psychological experiment viewpoint than anything else

 

You got MLP in SCHOOL?! Lucky bastard.

 

Why not? You can do that right now! It would be rather hypocritical of him to go all negative over fandom / active involvement, and he has demonstrated some kidultish (or manchildish) behaviours that demonstrates he's a fitting candidate. Just tell him you're rather disinterested in brony fandom because you already belong to older and broader one, then demosntrate him the similarities between fandoms for him to accept furries as naturally as bronies, then finally subtly wait for him demonstrate at least a slightest loss of interest in the show (Please do not mistaken end of season withdrawal with loss of interest in fandom, that's a very popular mistake!), then as subtly continue to introduce him to the joys of furry community, you know, make him meet some other members of fandom, introduce to anything cool dedicated to fandom or containing anthro animals, and, well, as a final stage of operation I'd rather just finally tell the opinion that fox fits him, mention the similarities and then get a furry avatar commissioned for him or something.

Also, just wondering, anyone else here tried to convert anyone into furry fandom and succeeded?

My favourite ponies are Glue Drop and Horsemeat Cutlet, irregardless whether somebody used these names in some creepo fanfic or I am the first to make them up. Now, with all the seriousness, I am not a fan of series. Checked a bunch of episodes, from several seasons, didn't hook me up enough to watch them. And, well, ponies... I'll be drank, ladies and gentlemen, I never liked horses apart from their utilitarian use as glue and string meat source and a mount (although even then I'd prefer a machine for transportation), and the show didn't make me sympathize these creatures nor their flying or horned counterparts in any way. Pardon.

 

Never. The "weirdness" factor is always too high to overcome.

I think I technically converted my sister at some point. I have converted a furry to vore as well, it was... Interesting.

 

it was mostly all of the nerds hijacking the projectors whenever we had substitutes or during midterms/finals and when we had free periods. which adds up to alot of time actually...

honestly the reason why some people and i mean SOME people hate furry's in general is because of attempts on "converting" and the such or "shoving" your fandom down their throats.

so i can understand why SOME people view furry's as hostile and such. and i believe one shouldn't try to "convert" someone into your fandom, it's just not right if you ask me, just let it happen naturally instead of "converting" people like it's some kind of religion. and i mean this in general and not in anyone particular.

 

well, I think in most cases, unless you are one of those extremely outgoing fursuiters it is hard to share something like the furry fandom directly. And besides, Christians or any other religion that tries to force their beliefs upon you in a violent or threatening manner won't be going to heaven. Period. Sure there may be passion, but there is a difference between Passion and bullying.
