evening mentlegen/women. I have had a very busy last few days, one day of which I was forced to- er "reintroduced" to MLP by one of my close friends who underwent a startling change in attitude and is now a very big brony. He showed me all three of the "Ponies Anthology" youtube videos in a row... He guilt tripped me into it somehow... and now I can't get the superior mlp animations out of my head. I feel like Isaac Clarke in dead space 3 going "make it stop make it stop make it stop make it stop" >.<

The thing is, he always seemed like a fox to me fursona wise even though he isn't a furry. I don't want him to stay a Brony... not that I hate bronies or anything, I was slowly introducing him to furries... and now I feel like he will be a horse forevermore. He even bought that rainbow dash hat AND wore it at a clubbing bar.

 

The only fair and legal thing you can do is just hope the fad will wear our, he'll get disappoint in bronyhood and introduce him to furry fandom the moment he'll have a fandom-shaped void in his hearth. If you're willingly to try more radical measures, I recommend either lobotomy or engineering a drug-induced, pink horse-related nightmare involving kidnapping and many many animatronic unicorns.

Fox? Hmm, do you try to envision everyone you know as a some sort of furry? Just wondering, really, I myself always was curious about them personality - animal stereotype parallels... talking about that, what animal fits me most personality-wise, if that's not too hard of a question?

And really gents, anyone willing to comment about my latest attempt to draw my 'sona? Come on, ladies, gentlemen and comrade bear, I want your Opinions™!

 

well.... In my personal case, I probably identify more with a canine than with a feline, But the reason why I chose to be a Tiger was because of the impact the death of my first cat had on me in which in retrospect, I probably needed to psychiatrist or at least a grief counselor to handle it.

In my friend's case, He is a party animal, very intelligent, very cunning, He does his work with both efficiency and creativity. He knows how to blend in to any situation and he also has an aloof side to him. He likes to wear long black socks and has black gloves he likes to wear often. His favorite color is orange, so he wears orange shirts often. He is also very crafty, and likes to joke in a manner of being "sly"

As for the whole MLP thing. I am a complete and utter sucker for good animations, whether it be cartoon, flash, anime. My early internet life was spent mainly on websites such as newgrounds or other video sharing websites devoted to flash animations.

 

Well horses and such are furry too. The fact that he is into MLP puts him into the ballpark of the furry fandom and isnt much of a stretch to go the extra step. I know lots of MLP fans want to distance themselves from furries as much as possible but it can't be denied that MLP is about anthropomorphic ponies, right up the furry fandom alley. You may not personaly like MLP, its not my cup of tea either, but the fact that he's so attached to it and certain characters may make it easier to bring him intto the fandom.

 

Its not that I don't objectively like MLP, I just hate what it is doing to my friend. To my knowledge he has never been into any fandom or been a fan of anything other than a sports team before. This is altogether a new experience for him.

 

Being something new it might just be a shock factor, his feelings and actions being most intense because its new and interesting to him. After a while his craze will probably cool down once its gone through his system for a while. You could try introducing him to some true furry MLP artwork and seeing what he thinks of it. But even if he gets over his MLP craze and becomes a full fledged furry try not to be disappointed if he dosent chose a fox for his persona.

 

I cannot understand why somebody wouldn't want to be a cute fluffy little fox or rabbit, seriously there is no such thing as too much cute.

 

The appearance kind of depends on the artist's interpretation, but this is the classic look.

Give it time - the brony fandom is very fast-paced and fun at first. Very few can resist being carried along. However, once the immediate supply of episodes, FMVs, and brony music is exausted, his/her loyalty to the fandom will be tested. If he continues actively beyond this point, he will likely be a brony forever. Otherwise, it will sink to "just a fan" level.

Also, with that description, he could equally well go for a 'coon.

Edit: And, of course, the two are by no means mutually exclusive. I'm proof!
