...am I the only one enjoying the buggy slurpy mess of beta? Come on folks, once they make it all orderly you won't get the same real sandbox as you're getting now!

Wait. what? Oh, allow me to explain! From my philosophical viewpoint unpolished sandboxes are only real sandboxes as, you know, you can really do what devs haven't allowed. To be it simple, you are not limited to what developers intended, you are free to cross those bounds! How awesome is that?! Also, must start actually searching for bugs asap...

I love this bug infested state. I crash when I put to many into the search bar that's about the only time. The only thing I think I might Dislike is....well nothing really right now.

Remember that they are going to be bogged down with support emails so it is going to take some time to reply to you. It really helps to make a humble account since that locks your email in (so you can not mistype) and gives you another way to access it. If you really must play the game ASAP then do buy it again, but it you can wait they should get your email at some point. It does suck when you send something to the wrong email though.

From what I remember your starter pet is based on your race and picked at random. (NOTE: Pets are not in at this point)
I think like was stated you can just some NPCs to do jobs ATM not hire them to follow you like in TES,
You can build a village, though no idea how house finding AI is.
I don't believe their is a family option ATM, but it is a highly requested feature so it might be added or more likely modded into the game later.

well judging by the post they made on this kind of problem I don't have the info they want since my credit card company doesn't keep track of anything older than a year so it looks like I am going to have to buy it again...

just got a very cut and paste response from CF although i really don't blame them. Sent another response back telling them that I couldn't get the info they wanted

    YES! YES!
    I killed the UFO boss!
The thing was a royal pain, as its bullets and the rockets one-shot me. But I eventually did it with an arrowslit! :D:D:D
Hilariously, I managed to pick up the molten core the same instant as the last mob's rocket pegged me in the face.

Whelp, figured out a few major exploits to the game already.
Congrats!!! I managed to do it yesterday and jumped into the Beta map. Good luck!

I built a barrier over my head with a little gap to shoot arrows through, though the new patch will destroy that strategy.

Edit: Just defeated the Robot, glitched it into a corner because it is insanely difficult :L

Defeating The UFO Guide (Without Glitches/Exploits)

    Requirements

    -Have silver armor, no exceptions
-Go to a lv10 planet to find a weapon underground. (any weapon will do at this point; at least 9 armor penetration recommended)
-Have pulse jump so you can reach the UFO with attacks.
-Have around 100-200 bandages. I'd say 300 to be safe. Go nuts if you have more cloth laying around.
-If bandages aren't good enough, be sure to cook up a lot of food that heals 1 bar every other tick, I'd say 300 again at the most.
-I'm sure there are ways to negate more damage, but this was my quick and easy solution which may or may not be easy for others.

    Stategy
-Duck often to attack penguin soldiers.
-Duck and attack while standing over tanks, so they cannot attack you.
-Worrying about hitting the UFO as much as possible is all you should worry about, but making sure the penguin addons are dead is priority.
-Don't stress on trying to destroy the mini UFOs, but it is a plus to get rid of them.

You accumulate up to 2000 pixels by the time you're done with the boss.

Okay, get ready, have you got the best armor you can get right now? I'm pretty sure it's going to be a basic racial thing and involve iron. (For Hylotl it's the puddle set)
Get the iron bow, you won't have a huge chance to use melee weapons though.
Make bandages, I ended up using 15-20. Make them from the wool spinner thing and with plant fiber.
Make a nice fortress/arena. Mine was mostly underground, and had an arrowslit pointed straight up, a door outside off to my right, and to the left, there was a little second floor room where I could shoot at enemies there.
For the first part of the boss he just does a basic smash and the laser of DOOM thing. Both will insta-kill you from full HP. Make sure that you're always standing next to something higher than you to dodge the smash. When the laser comes, RUN AWAAAY! At first he doesn't start right above you, so you have some warning. Make sure that you can duck under something fast when he starts doing the beamy thing.
Once you get him to about 75% HP, he turns invisible before doing his attacks. Every time he does this, duck into your base. It's not worth risking taking a hit to deal some extra damage.
By 25% HP, things start to get tricky, and here's where the arrowslit will be really handy. He spawns these really annoying UFOs, they shoot really slow projectiles and their AI actually works. Because their shots are so slow, they're dodgable but they also keep you out of your door for a long time, using the arrowslit, most of their bullets will hit the ceiling/floor, but a few will go thru the slit, so keep an eye out. The boss's laser attack will also go through there, so you still have to run when he turns invisible.
After that, just burn him down, it'll take a long ass-time, but you'll eventually do it.

I suppose you could just use the single arrowslit the entire fight, but that would sacrifice a teeny bit of DPS when the boss isn't right over you (which is 90% of the time)
I'd post a screenshot, but apparently the uploader isn't working :(
Anyway, the base is an L shape, like so:

    ___
    | =_______<ground mobs spawn there
    |_________^_|<door here, sometimes mobs spawn outside the door, kill them (or just close the door)
    ^ me and arrowslit.
    = is a horizontal arrowslit
The AI is bugged, so the ground mobs just stand there, when they spot you they'll move toward you slowly, don't let them shoot at you, they do hurt.

Also, do NOT put your spawn right next to your base. If you get to the boss fast enough, he won't despawn when you die. But if your spawn is too close then he'll float over there where you're completely unprepared to deal with him, and it sucks.
Make another enterance from your spawn to the arena, because you're probably going to die a LOT.
The arrowslit should only be 1 block wide and at least 2 blocks long.
Make sure that you have some building materials and a pick on hand, sometimes you'll have to modify your base so that you don't die to the same problem. When that happens, don't panic and fix it ASAP.
When you die, just run back as fast as you can and the boss will still be there. I died about 10 times and he didn't despawn.
the boss has LOTS and LOTS of HP, and the bar will only go down in 10% increments. Be patient.
    Good luck, and have fun.

, I found "A Hood with Ears"

Really? I lost about 800 pixels fighting this guy. D:<
Also, my way seems to be a bit more "cheaty" but a helluva lot faster to kill.

Lol Well until the fix tonight the easiest (Safest) way to kill it is to make a room with a small slit in the roof for arrows to get through get your Iron bow and shoot it through the slits.

T3 pain in the ass guys. Like seriously. I just started it. If I can give any advice. Dodge enemies till you find a T3 weapon or find enough Titanium to make one. After that You need to learn to dodge till you can get your T3 armor.. Which requires Platnium. I've yet to find any of this stuff but your T3 weapon will one shot anything under 25 and they will one shot you till your T3 gear.

Best way to beat the Robot (T2 Boss) is to Build a Wall between you and him and then attack through the wall.

yea... I've dug down straight with my gold pickaxe, have not found any plat or diamonds, just more silver and iron... I wish there was a way to see my own "level" so I would know if I could take the highe rlevel planets.

Your Defense in your inventory menu is what lvl you can handle.
but remember this game doesn't take player skill into account. So if your good at dodging or have a weapon with a high Armor pen you'll do better higher.
Go to planets that are in the gamma section. so anything 20+
