Wow this place has been quiet recently

 

tbh we all moved to discord

 

Pretty much, i think i'm one of the only people that checks here often

 

I check here daily to see if anyone says anything.

 

I peek at this about once a day, and see if much is going on. Though I'm not the most social of folks in the first place. xD

Why do you want to join us?: Hmm. Does "because I want to" count? Probably not. Well, I have been meaning to join a clan for a while, and none of the others quite suited my tastes, so I picked this one. And, Jonesy is leader.

 

I am used to quiet any way.

 

What's involved? We are just insane in the membrane, chatting, laughing, sharing, and stabbing eachother with broken whisky bottles of love.

 

I dunno I don't even bother with Starbound nowadays so I don't check on this site regularly anymore.

 

Well, first, you can join without an account, so you can just try it out.
It's basically like some combination of a IRC, a modern chat application, and Teamspeak. You've got normal channels for chat, you've got voice channels for voice-chat, you can of course be in both simultaneously. You can do normal attaching files, links and pictures from other modern chat apps. Unlike in IRC, where you have one big server and many channels, in Discord each community is their own server with their own channels. Additionally, you've got a whole permission system allowing you to moderate fairly well, even though, like other people, I find it quite lacking at times.

I do have to say though, half the active server population isn't from WOOF, I believe, unlike what I originally intended when I made the discord. By the way, I'm not the owner of the discord anymore, and haven't been since september. It's quite different from the atmosphere that exists in a forum thread like here, but if I had to choose, in it's current state, I would take the thread over the discord, because recently there as been quite a bit of drama and misadministration in the discord.

 

Actually in a way, the thread has been at least temporarily revived
