I'm forced to play terraria alone now it seems...

 

So.. everyone I've spoken too and seen who's played expert mode on terraria said how Plantera on expert was the hardest thing in expert. I feel somewhat lied too as I shredded it without losing even half my life ( I had 435 at the time), getting hit only twice. What a waste of the potions I made, I legit had more trouble with the twins than any other boss thus far (I have, progress wise, just beaten the Golem)

A tip to anyone struggling with expert mode. Choltophyte shotbow + holy arrows = total devastation, Plantera lasted about 25 seconds to that beast of a combo.

 

Plantera was a pushover. Literally all you have to do is build an arena just like normal mode and not be bad. SO clearly, you aren't bad.

I'm back from larping and a mini-vacation.
I got to fire a 6 lb cannon at the larping event. It was fun. owo (No it wasn't the bastard that ran over my foot)

Argh, I regret every day more and more to have installed windows 10 insider preview. There's bugs everywhere, Nvidia programs don't work half the time and a lot of other programs I use partially break. And that bloody buggy mess is supposed to be released in less that two weeks (on a related note, my birthday is in less than to weeks as well, so yay (27th, 2 days before windows 10 release, and to think I was excited for that release)).
Even today it, for whatever reason, reinstalled my GTX 760 driver (to the same version as before, oddly enough (I heard it installed outdated drivers for AMD cards)), only to have me remove it and reinstall it through Geforce Experience again because it was broken. Additionally, Nvidia, for whatever reason, doesn't make an exception to native windows for it's functionality, so it will apply an FPS counter to every other normal window, and, if I enable G-Sync, it tries to limit the fps of native windows, which now absolutely backfires. I think I'll reinstall Windows 8.1 and wait half a year till I consider windows 10 again.
Any of you tried Windows 10 yet?

 

I can confirm this.
Plantera was actually really easy when my group fought it.. honestly fishron was MUCH harder than plantera.

 

I've yet to fight fishron on expert, can't help but wonder how it'll be to do it solo. Though, having thought about it, I just rarely fight Fishron :l

 

I skipped Fishron actually. Went straight from Golem to Maritan madness to endgame

 

Expert martian madness ruined me. Every time I left my spawn house I was beset by a saucer and it's deathray, it was a looooong invasion.

i hate martian madness it's so easy to trigger and it offers no good rewards unless you manage to kill the saucer

Honestly, I think expert mode requires arenas for that sorta thing, I mean, I got trashed in normal mode, but it was do-able. Expertmode? Nah, I literally killed one martian per death until the even went away. Too. Many. Gravestones.

 

i can't even kill it
and i need to kill it so i can get laser chaingun and other magic stuff so i can kill fishron easier which i can then kill the cultists with easier so the pillars will be easier and cthulhu's bro will be easier.

the martians themselves aren't too hard
i could usually kill 5+ before dying
the saucer though ugh

 

i'm a wuss so i've only done normal mode martians
but in normal mode the deathlaser from the saucer isn't able to penetrate blocks, so hide under a roof!

 

That was what murdered me the most each time... That, or a wayward lazer from those walkers. Thing was is that particular invasion I triggered on purpose thinking "I beat golem 5 times without healing, how hard could the martians possibly be?" my god was I so wrong

 

I got the shiny stone, and shroomite armor combined.

They synergize perfectly!
