Bug/Issue Wrong biome distribution?

Below is a screenshot that should adequately preface the weirdness I appear to be getting.




This appears to be a forest biome on a volcannic planet. on the same planet I have seen a cold biome (the "glowing" biome) a hylotal surface settlement with dirt and grass below it. And a scorched planet primary biome stretching for quite some distance.

I understand that it appears the planets pick from a pool of biomes, but these don't seem appropriate? I have not seen this happen on any other planet type other than volcanic but I will keep looking.
