Would you want the Apex removed?

I don't plan to play as an Apex, but I don't want them to be removed! It's an interesting race

 

I don't care for them because they are very much like humans.
You could say that applies to them all, but no. Don't get me wrong, I like the Lore and definitely plan on playing an Apex at some point, but I find them the least visually appealing, maybe behind humans, maybe not, not sure.

No Offence super intelligent monkey-people.

 

They aren't my favorite, but I think the game would be much worse off if any of the races were removed. If you really don't like them, just kill any of them who dare show themselves to you. Thats what I'm going to be doing to the avians.

 

Personally Apex don't suit my tastes but I've no problems with them being around whatsoever. Usually a motif of Starbound I've come to personally accept is that anything sci-fi related can go. Even if Apex were actually removed as a selectable race, they'd probably show up in some way, shape or form within the Starbound universe. On the topic of race selection, I'm still hoping one day for a lizardman race. Like this guy!

Fuck no! They're the techies, an essential species type with an entirely unique style that has already populated the game world well.

 

Personally, I love the Apex. Their artwork, their backstory, technology, etc. I just dont want to play as one because I usually play a female character and prefer said character to not have a beard.

Hell no, I don't get why any scifi genre lover would want them removed? They're a race in the game, you don't have to love every race, but I don't see why you'd hate them when the game isn't even out yet. I mean come on people, get a grip, you're hating on a fictional race of apes in a game you haven't even played yet... It confuses me how much people get on as if they've actually played this game yet on here.

 

The Apex are close to last on my list to play, right behind the fishes. Don't particularly care for the asthetics of them. The story is good, of what we know.... just not my taste.

 

It may be because I have only just started to post here, but I don't understand how or why this is a thing. Looking from the outside in at avatars and such, the Apex seemed they were pretty well-received.

Sounds like gross overreactions on all sides here, I think. If anyone wants to indulge in crazy fictional space racism, who am I to judge?

If i cannot potentially play a genocidal maniac that begins every introduction with "Exterminate" in a space sandbox. Then such a question is absolutely meaningless..

So yeah, I plan on playing an Apex at some point. Here is hoping there is something like power-armor, and that there are also needlessly oversized guns.

 

I don't really think the Apex are bad at all, but I won't play them on my first time through. That's all I'll say though

 

Will i play an apex probably not but its not due to anylevel of apex hate its just they way the game is currently progressing im not gonna have much free time to play so there will be so much to explore with so little time that i just may not be able to get an apex in my schedule

 

Apex looks like the least attractive choice of Race to play as personally, but at the same time, I don't want them removed from the game. They have done nothing to deserve being Deleted from the Code. I just don't fancy the thought of living a freedomless basic-ape-rightsless life.
