Would you want the Apex removed?

To clarify, because people still seem confused I LIKE THE APEX, I DO NOT WANT THEM REMOVED, THIS THREAD IS NOT ASKING FOR THEM TO BE REMOVED.

This is not a petition, this is not something I want the devs to pay attention to at all. Just a question for my own personal edification. I do not want the Apex removed, this is not calling for them to be removed. People seem to be having a hard time with this.

This is inspired by all the Apex hate/death camps in a couple of threads lately, and they always seem to come in last whenever people list their favorite races. So my question is this: Is the issue that you don't like the Apex being being in Starbound at all? Or do you just really not want to be one?

Personally, I love the Apex, my main guy will be an Apex. And to all my fellow Apex players out there... I love you

I voted yes, but I just realized that they're a good thing.

I mean, I like the other races enough for me to spare most of them, and I need SOMETHING to kill, so why not the damn dirty apes?

 

No, Apex rock. Considering 80% of this community is full of anime lovers and bronies, god forbid there's a race that doesn't resemble rainbows and cupcakes.

Also, I invented created my own sub-race out of the Apex! YETIS

 

Personally, I like the glitch the most, but Starbound would just feel wrong without the apex

I think they have their place, I mean they fit in the starbound universe. Though... I don't like em. So keep em in.

In my opinion, the Apex is one of the best races. Cool back story, sci-fi technology; I just find them so interesting. They'll probably be one of the first races I choose.

 

Too much work had already been done on the apex. It would waste the Developer's time to remove something they've worked hard on.

 

Even if they're not the most attractive player character race, they still give the game a complete feeling. They belong in Starbound. Every game that has a selection like this is going to have it's least favorites, anyway.

I am very much a fan of the original Planet Of The Apes movies. I may not play an Apex, but I'll certainly hire NPC ones if it's possible.

 

Personally? Hell's no!
We have a diverse race choice each with it's own defining cultural and social history spanning a large chunk of their evolution, most likely with some kind of turmoil or questionable behaviour. (I know, we don't have all race lore yet, but if the Avian is anything to go by it won't span a week and they were engaged in xenophobia and bloody civil war).

Most importantly, all our home world are destroyed by the still unknown force, flinging an impossible number of unique players out in to the universe, the slate starts a new for everyone, it's up to us to write the new histo....oh god that is SO cheesy. Anyway, lol

 

No no, I defintely wouldn't want them removed; like said above, they fit into Starbound rather well, and I love their backstory.
Also, removing them would be one less race for me to eat to become friends with.

 

Why? The race has been designed and all, that work shouldn't go to waste. Nor do I think that people hate them so much for them to be removed altogether.

Not to mention, plenty of people actually like them. We shouldn't boot the Apex out on behalf of the raucous minority.

 

While I don't like the APEX, I don't want them removed from the game.

 

I never seen all these threads bashing on Apex as real hate against them, I can see why someone could see that as real hate, but bottom like is I don't think the majority would actually like to see the race taken out.

 

Well since, by the way the apex propaganda looks, I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't any Apex death camps in game. This makes the apex interesting in a sense on why they leave their home planet and such. (I haven't read any of the lore, this is based off of assumptions)

 

What do either of those things have to do with the race you choose to play? That generalization makes no sense to me...

 

Not going to be Apex, but why remove them? They have their lore and villages and space ships, it would be a waste to get rid of them.

 

Voted yes, i'm more of a take down species that may possible be smarter than us.

 

So the apex are semi fascist, that fact makes it ironic that people want to put them in concentration camps. I personally don't understand the hate against any of the races I have yet to play any of them nor do we have a full picture of their lore. I understand the de-evolve thing i silly but so is floran but rubbing and everyone got Behind that one.
