Would you want energy blasts?

Energy blasts coming out of your hands.....wouldn't you want that?

Depends on how its done. If its some kind of suit that you end up focusing all the energy of it into the blast it sounds logical, as long as its not a "Ki Blast".

 

I hope this game stays in a mostly Sci-Fi style, There are too many games with Magic already...

 

Some screenshots show an energy meter, but it looks more like a weapon power bar. We might have guns that fire energy blasts though, if it's not from the hands.

 

Yeah maybe you carry a Battery which acts like Mana and powers special weapons and equipment.

 

I'm sure that the Battery idea is something that has already been talked about by the Devs. I would lurk through the Dev Q&As to find it but I'm tired

I was actually discussing a while ago with someone the different types of energy that you could potentially use. Obviously a battery could mean electrical power as well as other forms but there are a lot to really go in-depth into.

 

Energy Shields anyone?

This whole thing suddenly reminded me of Iron man. I wonder why.

 

Kinda like Terraria referenced people like Link and Mario, this game needs an Iron Man suit...

 

So many likes to give in this topic... I think the only "energy blasts" should come from weapons.

That's a sweet idea, having different power types to supply even more variety would be awesome. Could work for both shield types and weapons as well. I wish we had gameplay footage so we could have an idea of how everything works, haha.
