Would you pre order for beta access?

Im really looking forward to this game, i had so much fun with terraria. So the poll is simple, would you preorder for beta access?

id pre order under any circumstance but there not gonna do beta access preorders because then they will get a bunch of people that pay to early play who will just screw around and wont report bugs which is why there focused on closed beta if they have one at all

 

I would, but I cant see how and why they should make a beta of the game, Closed beta makes sense for bug testing and cleaning shit before release.

But Pre-order access beta? I wish, but it'll never happen.

Sure, but it wouldn't be a good move on the part of the designers. These people would be V.I.P.s rather than actual testers. They would be under no obligation to do anything but stuff their faces.

 

I would pre-order even if I didn't get anything. The faster I can throw my money at the devs, the better.

 

Well considering I am almost done beating the story for Starcraft 2 and starting to overplay Skyrim, and adding time to watch the Legend of Korra, then yes I would pre-order because I need something new to play. Skyrim, Torchlight 2, and Starbound. Those will be my main 3 games.

 

If you bought Starcraft 2 just for the campaign you just wasted all of your money.

Yes I would, but I would prefer if devs gave them out, even if that leaves me out :L, but it's for the best.

 

I'd pre-order without a beta. Still, as said before, it's likely more intelligent to hand it out by hand, seeing as there would be too little bug reporting from so many people, and reports from the same people who would've likely gotten it anyway.

 

I would. Games have done it before and it didn't ruin them. But probably someone in these forums knows a story about how a small studio did a beta and it went horrbily wrong, people DIED and the game went off into the hills never to be seen again. I think the Chucklefishes are going to stay true to their principles and one of the seems to be to not do a big beta. But hey, maybe we'll get a secret ninjastyle release at the end of the month.

 

I agree with Stargazer, the sooner I can buy this for myself and everyone I know the better.

They stand to lose nothing by doing this, and stand to gain a lot of money and feedback.
