Ok, just imagine yourself flying to some random planet then all of a sudden: BOOM, a worm hole appears in front of you, a flash then your traveling through some weird like, Dr who time vortex! Then another flash and you're at some planet on the other side of the universe. After this a ton of your fuel is toast (not litterally) and you're forced to land (unless you want to fly to the other side of the universe with a fourth of a tank, well thanks guys for reading this I hope you enjoyed!

I like it The more similar suggestions the greater the idea is Keep it up it's an awesome Idea I say let's pursue it for others to follow and maybe they will implement to appease the hungry mass of the thought. .... lol nuff said... It's a great Idea Zen.
I do like the idea of wormholes as a quick-travel method. But should they always pop you out at the same space every time? e.g. My home planet has a big Wormhole nearby. If I fly into it get flung to the far reaches of space. I make a small outpost on the nearest planet to my exit point, then journey back (via lots of planets) to my home planet. I then stock up my ship again, and fly back into the wormhole. Do I emerge near my small outpost, or another random point in the galaxy?
Eddie I agree maybe a quick travel might be a cool alternative. lol wouldn't it be cool if you found a dimensional rift on the planet and you went to touch it and SEE where it takes you? Possibilities and options, are a combination into a random future... Wait isn't that what the future is anyways? Random!?. Let's do this! I'm not afraid.... ok maybe a lil.
No, they'd be random and constantly changing like if there were a wormhole right next to your home planet then it'd be there one day and somewhere else another
Exactly! Like a tear or crack in time and space or something and you go up and click it at SOMETHING HAPPENS!
i like this idea, you could make like a tesseract ish thing! of course, you need very advanced tech, i hope chucklefish implements this!
