Bug/Issue Worlds clearing for no reason?

I know I already made a topic on this elsewhere in the forum, but it just happened again, and this time it was with my ship.

I loaded up starbound to find my ship completely and totally reverted to when it had JUST been upgraded, and every object on the ship disappeared. The starbound.log shows no errors whatsoever.

This didn't start happening until Starbound 1.1.

I have mods, but I don't think any of them could possibly be causing entire planets (and ships) to revert back to their original states. The first time this happened, it was on a Better Barren world, so I thought it might be a problem with that, but nope. Just happened to my ship. *SIGH*

For the reference, I have Windows 7 and a 32-bit system.

Attach the log. Maybe it's showing something important for the shipworld anyways.

This should be it. After it happened I closed the game and reopened it (more out of habit than anything else) so I think it got moved to one of the .# files. (Had to change the file type to get the browser to detect it though)

It does say something about stopping world packet and removed...

Hm very strage behaviour but it doesn't seem like it's mod related. Maybe the game failed saving the file in the session before or it failed in loading it. :/
Have you tried one of the backups?

Tried it just now, but they're all empty, from what I can tell. I probably should have started with the third one first.

Weirdest thing is that the log mentions flying me somewhere...but...I had JUST loaded the game. I wasn't flying. I was orbiting a planet. ._.

Normally I would just go "well can't cry over spilled milk" and start again but the fact that this can happen again at any time... Well, it's discouraging, to say the least.

Hey I just faced the same bug ! Some hours ago I couldn't teleport to my home planet (where I farm, mostly) but I wasn't alarmed. I tried a few times to repeat the order (the game was always crashing right after that), so i tried to reach the planet "by feet" (i mean i flew to the planet using the navigator) but same thing : i could reach the orbit, but the game crashed when i tried to teleport on the ground.
That wasn't too catastrophous and I thought it was only a matter of time before it would work well again. But just half an hour from now the game crashed while I was on my ship ("couldnt connect to the Starbound server" or sth) and after reloading the game all has disappered in my ship : only my crew remains, and what I had in my inventory. Now, when I reload and go back to my ship, it has still the max size but it's empty (with the blocks separating the different rooms). I leave, reload, and find the ship with the blocks again between the rooms. And again and again.
I tried some operations (in the files) but I'm not confident with those handlings.
Please tell me there's a solution :O (i'm a compulsive collectionner and i never stop bringing more order in my ship, i couldn't bear to loose such a hard and long work u.u)

    I'm desperaaaaaate

    (sorry for my poor english)

I can only tell you to try deleting your shipworld file and rename the backups to have .shipworld instead of .bak#.

If none of those work...I'm afraid you're like me and likely lost everything. :/

I guess from now on, we'll have to keep on top of making our own backup files... *sigh*

Didn't work... Please kill me x_x (more than 100h played since the official release)
But how can this be possible ? The files don't seem to be failed, where's the pb ?

I know how you feel... It's quite the letdown. The fact that there was no error in the .log just makes it all the worse, because we can't determine what went wrong.

Maybe the devs can figure it out. Might help if you post your system stats (What operating system, 32 or 64 bit, etc) and maybe if this happens to other people, we can gather enough data for them to find and fix the problem. Depending on how many times you opened and closed your game, you might be able to find when it happened in one of the starbound .log files... Otherwise, all I can really say it start again and keep your own shipworld backups.

It just happened again, and this time I was keeping manual backups of my homeplanet. Said manual backups don't seem to help.

And once again, there's no errors in the log file. *SIGH* Honestly, this is to the point where I might as well stop playing because the game is just going to continue undoing everything I've done.

Can you attach the log of the session it happened and the session before?

starboundlog1 is the previous log, starbound log2 is the one where stuff happened. The repeated beaming down and returning to ship was me ATTEMPTING to restore the planet via backup. After this, I shut down the game and attempted to replace the world with a backup file again, but it didn't work.

Try removing the unpacked folder in your assets folder. It *can* mess up things pretty bad and cause some exotic errors.

Maybe it's a remnant from early access. But i can't say if it'll fix your issue but it's worth a try :)
