Hello! I've been trying to find the Terms of services for Starbound Workshops in regards to server's ability to use and redistribute mods. Here on the official chucklefish fourms Mod packs and asset permissions are listed clearly. However nothing like that seems to exist for the workshop... Can a admin or moderator clear this for me? There are several mods on the workshop I would move to include on my sever but unfortunately they have no clear listing of permissions.

So you want to redistribute the mods for your server as a mod pack? The best way is to ask the appropriate mod authors. Some don't care if their mod is redistributed in a mod pack as long as there are credits given but others don't want it. If there is a link to the starbound forum for the mod and it states that it's allowed then i guess it's okay.

I figured as much; but it's something I was hopping I could avoid as I've noticed a considerably large amount of steam users are unresponsive; while on the forums I have had better luck contacting creators.

    Thank you for your time!

You could just compile a list of mods so others can download them on their own.

I totally forgot about the collections... >v<

We have several custom mods we don't want to make public, and it's hard enough to explain to new users to plug in mods, more less trying to tell them to gather several packs on their own... with a limited sever staff we kinda have to choose our battles over availability and permissions.

What kind of server is it? A public one or a private one? If it is a public one it's not a good idea to not make all used mods public. If it is a private one for you and friends the mod author just adds the people as friends on steam and set the visibility to friends. Works also for collections.

But werent you looking to create a mod pack that users could just download from steam. Wouldn't that effectively make your custom mods public anyway?
