Is there a mod that lets you like...request trash? I hardly ever fish up trash (I always get fish...or algae) and don't often get trash from trashcans (I've seen more algae from trashcans than trash) so my recycling machine sees little use. So. Is there a mod that allows you to ask the villagers for actual literal trash to recycle?
There is not a mod for this IIRC, but you can get plenty of trash from crab pots in water sources on your farm. As long as you don't have Mariner as a profession in your fishing skills, your crab pots will be able to gather plenty of trash for you. You can still get the occasional crayfish, snail, and periwinkle, but they won't outnumber the amount of trash you'll collect by doing this.
Farm Type Manager can spawn random trash in the town each day, if you don't mind collecting it from the ground instead of villagers. Try using it with the config file attached to this post, if you're interested.
