Wonder what happened on this planet?

Firstly, I would like to say maybe a great war happened long ago and this planet was used as a biological warfare testing facility long since destroyed into dust. These are all the victims over the many years the war went on that died being experimented on.

If you like thinking of what happened and you think of some cool ideas then you should start a forum post about your ideas. You never know when a modder might come around and turn your humble idea into a part of the game.

EDIT: To clarify I mean you could expand on some of these ideas mentioned. I.E. the extinction. Maybe come up with who or what went extinct and how or why they did.

 

When I find flesh and bone biomes underground I like to imagine that I dug into the carcass of a giant creature. The monsters, rock and dirt in it is either where it has rotted away to the point where it all collapsed in, or was swallowed by the beast before it died.

 

This totally isn't my thing, but i just had to try.


A silent planet, luscious growth
Where skies are bright and mountains float.

But down below a secret lies.
The predator that watches skies.

It waits for It's targets ship to land.
To discover It's beauty, consume It's plants.

allow them to breed and rise to fame.
waiting to slaugher them in shame

Because down below and deep inside.
The creature waits and sleeps and hides.

Waiting for them to rise again.
To consume all of It's inhabitants.

Yay! Tentacle world consumer.

 

I wish I was this good at roleplaying. I wish I could make intriguing character back stories. I just play for the sake of playing and with no thought about it or why I'm doing it :c

 

Well the game is here for you to play how you want to play. Besides, if you don't come up with character back stories while playing thats what this forum post is about, reading the interesting stories others have come up with.

 

I read they have some "living planets" that are entirely flesh and bone on the inside. It sounds like he stumbled onto one of those.

 

I found a Floran village built atop bone piles. I thought to "Wow they must have been hungry."

Ages ago there was a great plague and all the people of that planet threw their sick and dead into the equivalent of a grand canyon and now this titanic mass grave has been buried by time.

 

You got infected, that's what happened.
The bones are a coral-like organism that infiltrates the skeletal structure of animals,
consumes everything else and builds up its nest by accumulating the corpses.

Obviously somebody sacrificed the entire planet to either create a Philosopher Stone or join the God Hand.
