What if... Persona 3 or 4 + Dark Souls + Starbound? Considering elemental effects existing in the game?

For all the crap DayZ gets around the internet at least they've put out an update nearly every month since its been out. Also they don't silence any dissent or criticism on their forums like discount North Korean dictators, either.

Definitely agree that a combination between Spore and Starbound would be pretty dandy. I used to play a lot of Spore, but it always felt like it had something missing. Perhaps Starbound would make up for that.

I would merge Terraria, by making Terraria planets randomly around the Starbound universe, each Terraria planet could be different than the next but the core would be the same as the actual Terraria game, a dungeon, old man, corruption, etc etc.

Zone of Enders -- any space-based mecha anime. Seriously, just give us flying mecha at some point and I'll be satisfied.

Damnit, now I want to take out a tentacle monster with an EVA in Starbound. Just.. for the hell of it.

I think the best thing to merge any game with is the positive elements from EVERY game
(just a few games mentioned here, dont want to think to hard)
starbounds decorations combined with spores planet exploration and terrarias refined combat
WoW expansion cinematic graphics and real lifes physics along with some game that has a great community
and what ever else positive thing from games and you have a perfect flawless game, endless ways to play, endless things to do, truly open world
but like that will happen in our life times, but its fun to dream

This wouldn't work, sadly, I feel because of some of the spirit Starbound is made for. Like the part you were mentioning about WoW's graphics and real life physics, completely contradict with the 16 bit (right? D: ) art style and the physics and controls that are suppose to feel floaty.

Now I add: Persona's weaknesses system, alongside Dark Souls' combat!

and thats the real problem with the perfect game, everyone wants something different, some like realistic graphics, some like 16 bit
some like realism, some think realism should be destroyed
    some like 2d some like 3d, I would love a 4d game

Nah. Firstly the adventure and content was created by me.

The spore content is technically made in likeness to an original race - not a race derived from a Spore creation, a subtle but important distinction. Early on in Spore's release Electronic arts had a clause in their EULA that said they automatically took ownership of everything you create in Spore. But had to repeal it very quickly when they realised people were making pokemon, characters from Mario or Zelda, spaceships from Star trek etc - and, legally claiming to own the rights to everything that people made a likeness of in their game was going to get them thrown into a vat of boiling oil and sued into annhilation by the IP holders of all the big franchises, so they quickly changed that so they only held the rights to use truly original aspects - like the actual adventure and digital content, and imagery drawn from it. Not the likeness, trademark or intellectual rights of the creations.

So in that regard I am still the IP holder of the race, lore and their likeness. EA just has the right to use any content from the adventure as suits their purposes up to an including resale. (Not that they would, I did notice they used a screenshot from one of my adventures in some official advertising for Spore which I was pleased about, seemed like a big seal of approval)

Somebody may have said it already, but another good idea with Spore would be the ability to edit creatures on particular planets. I know I liked it when I could have all of my favorite creatures from around the galaxy on my homeworld. I think you could also make/edit your own creature, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Also the spice trade was pretty fun :p...

I got into the beta of this game called Stonehearth -and it's looks promising, but it's still quite far from the scope of DF...

Gnomoria is pretty fun, too, although compared to DF it's currently awfully shallow.
Still, the whole combat system of hitting different body parts is there, and I've got gnome who lost one of her legs to a goblin. :p
    Made her a tinker!
(Also thanks for mentioning Stonehearth! I had never heard of it before! Looks fun! :) )

But yea to stay on topic...
Starbound+Dwarf Fortress hybrid could be absolutely amazing if it was done well.
Building a huge fortress on a planet, managing moods and health of crew members and moving between planets?!
I just don't see a game like that happening anytime soon. :(
It would take a truly amazing team to create something like that and make it good.

I would want the game to fuse with Fez or at least the part where you flip around four perceptions of view

I would fuse Starbound with the mechanics from Planet Explorers. I like their crafting/designing System and colony building system.

The mechanics are pretty cool and Starbound could use something like this.

Also the point that it's hard to find resources without proper scanner upgrade is a cool feature. You also don't have ore masses scattered all over the place but have to really search for it, so just digging down get's you nothing.
