From what iv seen witch marsh looks like a beautiful game,The atmosphere really grabs me to play it. Cant wait to play it
Good news that the move is coming along nicely! And as I've said before, game development is not an easy thing.
Sleepy's Diary. Still no update. What was once a promising expedition into space has become a deadly trap into this barren rock. Nobody heard our pleas and the crew is running out of hope. Some claim we can still be saved, some that this is just a rough beginning. Nothing further from the truth: We are all going to die here.

I know I keep repeating this thing, but it really needs to be posted again. Game development is not an easy thing. There are 1 000 000 and 1 things that can go wrong during the development of a game
Yeah, great. More excuses to not to do his f****n work. And while you point out that somehow a lot Devs still manage to release games without all thous f***ups, drama and not blaming everyone around but not themselves for said f***ups, you get called a troll and a whiner.
Congratulations. You are now a publisher that makes games. Look at how your positive image sells their product so well while people are still irate that you give them little information about the unfinished game you should be focused on. Your flagship may not be sinking, but it now gives the impression that it is patched together with cheap posters from other games. I'd recommend keeping the publishing posts separate from your Starbound progress posts from now on. You might taint them by entertaining the word "progress" in the wrong place. It's not the difference between the role of publisher and developer people don't understand. It's the apathy aimed at the people who already bought your game. You are using the section generally depicting progress updates for ad-space. Classy. Shoot. You could just lazy-copy-and-paste your twitter feed here and create a subsection completely seperate for your new games being published and link it as a footnote, but don't showcase it after you bring nothing to the table for your own product. Swinging to a positive note: congratulations on the move. I hope the burning tire heap from marketing doesn't smoke up your productive days in the new office .
"Congratulations"? Oh yeah, blame criticism. Can't they understand that the only reason we are angry is because their community interaction is FULL of lies? "We will have updates everyday, there are going to be ships and stuff, all that within some weeks!". Seriously, I don't even care if they are going to update the game this year or next year, I just feel cheated. They promised one thing and couldn't deliver. I usually wouldn't post in the forum complaining about their work, because the fact that they are taking too long to release an update doesn't even bother me seriously, I am a kid and I can wait. What makes me angry is the fact that the lead developer is trying to make his customers feel guilty, saying things like "My people are sacrificing themselves, working as hard as they can, and now they are sad and demotivated because of your criticism!". I mean, really? And I feel sorry for the guys that are actually working on the game are doing an amazing job. I applaud. And yet, "they feel demotivated". The community's criticism is NOT for them. All the criticism is directed to every single Chucklefish employee that decided it would be fun to post in the main page things like "We will have updates everyday", knowing it would take more than one month to have another update. Another example of terrible community interaction: Advertising a game while people wait for updates. Of course, the team that develops Starbound is completely different, but the community doesn't know that. Look at the many people in this topic saying things like "Oh no! You guys have time to develop a brand new game, but no time to update this one? Seems legit". The person responsible for community interaction should have seen that coming.
And I sadly feel demotivated to keep coming on the site any more considering how long since the last update that added content (with "nearly daily updates" in mind that is). I've purchased a dozen early access games on Steam, and most of them have faster progress than Starbound, and yet I think they're on a way lower budget having less sales and such. Here's for hoping we'll get a content patch soon to make everyone happy.
THIS. So, Tiy, your developers are demotivated with criticism? Well, half of the community is demotivated as well. I think it is unfair to throw all the weight on the community with twitter posts
Believe whatever you want, EA is ruining games for me AND a good ammount of other people. If you keep willing to support them with their Day One DLC policy move on and do it. But do not bug people who are just pissed at them for ruining initially good games and turning them into money printing machines.
I love EA games and will continue to buy them. I seriously doubt CF could ever make something close to SC5 which I think is great. I'm not buggin anyone, you were the one who stated what I quoted .
