Wipe when?

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone at all had an approximate of when the wipe was gonna happen?
Is it later today or early/late tomorrow?

Would be awesome to know so i can plan out my days ahead Cheers!

I'm guessing Monday. But that has no basis in anything but the chatter on the server that I play on.

 

the latest post says they will likely wipe on the next update, it was made the 7th i believe and they said a few days so probably monday sometime it will be live...hope they get some fixes for multiplayer in it is near unplayable with the griefing and theft....

 

Don't plan ahead. I think that it's not the last wipe.

 

I doubt they'll drop another wipe on the same day that they already dropped a wipe at. So in order to plan my days for effectivity, i'd rather be able to play as soon as the wipe has happend, rather than 1 day later.

 

The griefing is horrible. Specially with those propellers on the ship and such. Really really horrid. The thiefing is one thing. I'd prefer it if you could lock your ship somehow so no one can get on it.

 

Yeah, as devs have stated emphatically - don't get attached to your character. If you have an issue with resets/wipes, you should wait til the next stage or even final release. Otherwise, just get used to losing your progress.

I personally don't think it's too bad - being a procedurally generated game, every playthrough is going to be vastly different. I can't count the number of times I've restarted Minecraft or Terraria from scratch, and while it hurts a little to lose your old gear, I find that every playthrough turns out even better than the last anyway.

Does "character-wipe" also mean "universe-wipe" or will changes made on planets still be there?

 

Also, does "character-wipe" also mean "Server-wipe" I wanna know if my planet i've spent the past few days building in MP will still be there after the character wipe if I save the coordinates.

 

It is always safe to assume that during a beta, a wipe means everything. It's not wise to mix-match versionized content.

 

Pretty sure with the level-overhaul, everything will be wiped, multiplayer servers included.

As far as the same coordinates making the same planets(Single or multi), it all depends how heavily they overhaul the system, so it's unknown as of this time. I'd save the coordinates in case you can find them after the patch, but try not to get too attached.

Simply trying to figure out when it's happening. Since i have work but have the opportunity to make my own schecdules, i'd rather plan it ahead so that i can play for 1-2 days straight after the wipe.
