Hey, my group did the unfathomable: We got super attached to the complex on our planet.

All I'm aiming to do is save one planet from the final wipe. I rented a server from Multiplay and emailed them with the same question. I know it's in beta and I tried my best to heed Chucklefish's warnings about wipes. I am not looking to debate whether or not I should be doing this or even attempting it. I have a world I want to save and any guidance would be appreciated. Lastly, if this has already been covered I apologize for posting unnecessarily and would be glad to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks!

Just go to your starbound steam folder, then backup the "UNIVERSE" folder, whenever a wipe happens you could just restore the universe.

Awesome, thanks! I guess from here I could probably find my specific planet too. I guess I'm hoping I would cause less damage by saving the single planet rather than the whole universe. Do you know if this version of the planet is the same as the one on the servers with Multiplay? I may just be confusing myself for no reason. I'll just try and copy that file and hold onto it. Thanks again!

the owner of the server must do this, if you do this it will only save your planet (which is most likely empty)

If you do this you also risk missing out on any planet generation updates and bug fixes.. basically your playing a pre release game and really shouldn't be doing this
