RELEASED WIP: The Viera of Ivalice 0.3.2

SO glad to see this is back c: love your work friend, its a great addition to the universe!

 

Splendid! Now that the Viera race is compatible with the 1.0 update I must create another character to go through the universe with! ^-^

 

Oh yeah I just ran into this issue when opening the Viera Crafting Table

"Exception caught in client main-loop
(Assetexception) Path
/Objects/Viera/Vieradoor2/ Cannot be a file"

edit: happens when clicking any of the doors

edit2: everything else is in working order, I clicked and built everything for testing purposes

 

I'll get it fixed and uploaded!

edit: Thought this would be a simple fix, but I'll need to look further into it >_<

 

Thanks c: by the way I am curious, the wigs were removed? if so, will they be added in the future? just curious of course. I liked how Felins looked with a couple viera hairs

 

The wigs are still there, and dyeable. Nanzie still sells them, along with the wig dyes ^_^

 

Hey, so does this have to be installed on the server and the client for multiplayer?

What did my little eyes spy in the opening scene? Is this a reveal for your planned ships? If so I am so very excited to see what will become of it.

Also I have the same "door cannot be a file" error as Asriel
and I am sooooo waiting for your Leia Organa stuff (as in: pleasantly giddy, so this is not meant to rush you).

I'm not too sure >_< I thought that usually all players on a multiplayer server have to have the mod installed, but it might've changed recently.

 

i encounter and issue when you die the game crashes in the resurrect animation, when select matter manipulator.

There is also a dialog issue causing random guards to die when accepting their quests or talking to them.

Exception caught loading asset: /dialog/guard.config:hail, (AssetException) Could not read JSON asset /dialog/guard.config:hail

 

Awesome race especially for Final Fantasy fans. So far the one thing I've noticed is that the lightest skin color seems to be a little to light. The white of the eyes blends in and makes the face look strange.

Sorry that you disapprove of the feol skin tone. I've thought about adding more skin tone shades in the past but I dunno. The Feol are supposed to be light skin hybrid of Viera, and their skin tone was chosen from official art of the Feol Viera from Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

As for that thing coming out of your character's mouth...that's actually a part of the hairstyle that character is wearing....its Fran's hairstyle from Final Fantasy XII. You can discern this from the character creation menu by changing the colors. Viera have wispy, fly away hair, and that's how it was rendered. Again, sorry if ya disapprove.

I dunno if it was just an issue with my download or not, but the game crashes if I try to craft any of the doors from the woodworking table. I can craft the vanilla doors and everything else from the table just fine. The doors included in the mod seem to be missing. Also, the hanging Acorn light seems to be bugged. It can be crafted but not placed. The small acorn light works perfectly fine, but the large hanging one doesn't seem to register as a placeable object.

Wow, I'm also guessing the zoom rate is off depending on everyone's screen resolution >_< I'm looking into this issue today

Yeah, there is an issue with selecting the doors. I'm working at finding the cause. Thanks for letting me know about the overhead light. I'll look into fixing that as well

 

Woo 1.0 working, Just want to let know of a few bugs. it crashes when trying to view the doors for the race in the crafting station. The respawn also causes a crash.
