Here it is! It's just a few added pixels but it helps homogenize my game a bit.

I did actually play with making the eyes larger than they are, but couldn't get it where I wanted, and I knew how it would affect the headgear I've already created. Perhaps some day I'll reconsider their look, once the Viera are finally completed, but for now I'd prefer to keep their eyes the way that they are, and that this not be distributed.

I just want to check and make sure...
It seems like you're alright with a server using your Viera mod
as long as they link back to the mod page instead of putting it
in a mod pack. Is that correct?

I still can't find the botanica armor set in my accelerator table. Is there a way to obtain the recipe or am I missing something in my files?

Yes, I'm fine with a server using my mod, as long as a it's linked to my mod page. Sorry it took me so long to get back to ya on that >_<

I'll have to take a look at this one. I checked to see if any of the naming conventions had changed for the table in-game, but there weren't any irregularities with that, so it should be showing up as craftable. Are you still having this problem? Ill test it in-game to see if I'm having the issue as well.

Also, as a message to everyone, I'm back to work on the Viera, and I'm knee deep in building spawnable villages! I've added more tiles to build with (over twenty, I believe) and cleaned up all of my original tiles. I've also got a few more goals in mind for the next update, but I'll let you all know more progress as it is made. I always want to pack in as much content as possible before updating, so I'm hoping for some pretty big additions for the Viera especially as 1.0 approaches.

Preview of the first spawnable Viera home! Don't mind the cliff on the right >_< This home is a part of a small Viera village that will exist, built into the hills of planets, but I'm testing the buildings piece by piece to ensure each one is rendered properly. There will be more buildings on either side of this home lol. I thoroughly polished up my original design to show, although I must admit I need to create even more furniture (which will definitely be coming down the line). Anywho, the design was pulled from one of my earlier bases using the tiles. I went through all of the Viera materials, and cleaned them up, trying to make them more efficient and pretty, while adding some new ones (paneling, column tiles in three color combinations, etc), though I do aim to add more tiles, as well as color options for the existing ones.

Thriving villages, cities, and locales need varied and awesome villagers, merchants, etc to make them feel more alive. So I'm also going to work on adding more NPCs to the mix to build some characteristically beautiful locations. Some immediate goals are:
    - Guards will have a new armor set that is all their own, with variations based on their tier and title. The Guard captains will be more distinct from typical guards.
    - New NPCs that each have their own clothing sets with color options

As 1.0 approaches I look back on the several years I've worked on this project. I wish I could've devoted more time and energy into the Viera since I started work on them so that they would be more well rounded and everything that I've dreamed for them by now, but that's not the case. I will see them to completion though, and I wanted to reassure everyone of that. The dream will never die ^_^

Yeah, I'm trying to work quickly to get the Viera ready for 1.0!

A quick update on progress, I've completed the first Viera village, and am very happy with it's setup! I still need to finish up a few more village "segments" which require some new objects such as a marketplace (finally!), another build style of housing that's akin to the Viera of Eruyt Village living high in the trees, and some more goodies. I am honestly hoping that 1.0 doesn't debut for a few more weeks so I can wrap up my first complete batch of spawnable locales >_<

The past week however I've been focused on the respawn animation, which is *finally* in it's final stages! The .cinematic file may give me some trouble, as I've not made a cinematic before, but we'll see ^_^ Anyway, I can't wait to show it off, but I want everyone to see it in it's complete form as I imagined it, and I don't want to spoil it's design :p

My main goal with the update is to refresh the Viera experience with more of it's much needed content. I want them to feel like a brand new experience, even for those who have played them from the start.

I wanted to post a bit of a progress update so that you all know where I am right now. I'm still sifting through my files with a fine-tooth comb so that I can not only update everything, but I've edited quite a bit as well. Keep in mind that a lot of my files are from not only my beginning as a modder for Starbound, but also from the earlier file setup of Starbound lol. Over the weekend, I've remade all of the Viera hair colors, and followed suit with the human hair colors, but throwing in a few pastel pinks, and the signature cotton white Viera hair color. It's taken the Viera from a mere twenty hair color selections, to thirty-four! I'm also testing out the wig dyes on Nanzie's sold wigs so that each wig can take on any of the hair colors from the new Viera selection. *This ones still getting ironed out today, but I'm hoping it goes smoothly.*

Also, I'm making a change with the Viera NPCs. As many of you know by the established Viera lore, only those who leave the safety of the Viera villages usually color their hair. This means that the player character (unless the player prefers the default Viera white hair color), and only a certain amount of Viera NPCs will have colored hair, in following with the lore. I feel like it's a great change to make them stand out a bit more, and it's lore-friendly. Also, NPC armors will now color match properly ^_^

Another thing to speak of is the current state of Viera armors. I've stated this a few times, but for those who have missed it, I have plans to give the Viera a custom armor system that follows the job system of Final Fantasy fame. I'm hoping that excites a lot of you, as it has definitely excited me. Characters will get to choose from the three basic Viera jobs at start: Fencer, Archer, and White Mage (representing the three types of combat: melee, ranged, magic), and progressing from tier to tier will unlock the next set of jobs. There will also be special jobs for Viera, more jobs that unlock in later tiers, and a few that harkon back to what began the Tactics style games: Ogre Battle. Keep in mind, that I've designed these new job outfits myself, so I hope you all like and approve of them when they get shown off. Players will still maintain the option of using the Tactics job outfits I've already created, as vanity outfits, but I've given even Fencer, White Mage, and Archer brand new looks for this new gear system! I've almost finished designing all of the Viera job outfits and sprited a few samples of them, but I don't wanna leak too much information ;) Perhaps I'll share the job tree that I've concocted. Anyway, with this system far from implemented, the current armors are not where they should be. For the purpose of playing through the content of the game, I will be using placeholder armors for the next update *groans*, and in a not so far away update, I may eventually just make a basic tier set that follows the progression of Starbound just so there's something Viera specific to use until the new system is in place. I do apologize for armors not changing as of yet, but I do promise a unique, special system in the future. Armors take several days of thorough, constant work on my part, especially *detailed* armors, but it will be my focus when the time comes, don't worry.

That being said, starter armors will also be seeing a full refresh in a later update. I've designed ten *full* Freelancer sets (what the new Viera starter sets will be referred to as) that I've tried to add a lot of character to, and I aim to make the pieces of each set work well with each of the other starter outfits. This will be not only good news for players, but also for villagers who currently don't have much to wear >_<

As I've mentioned before, I've managed to finish the assets for the respawn, which is an exciting moment for me as it is a big goal completed, but my last *big* goal before the Viera can move to a *satisfying* point is the Viera ship. It's still in an unfinished state, though I'm hoping I have time to finish in the days leading up to release, I may not complete it soon enough. It's something that has *got* to be perfect before I release it, so bear with me if it holds up Viera for 1.0. My main issue with releasing the update before the ship is complete is that players will probably have to delete their new character just to set it in place, and I don't want that. I don't like resets like that of any sort >_< It may not be a big issue for everyone though. I just really *really* want the ship finished for you all for the next update, and I do hope that everyone loves it's design!

A few other goals I want to accomplish for 1.0:
-Complete custom guard armor set and guard captain set and if I can manage: a Viera chocobo guard >_<
-Edits of all object imagery to conserve a bit more space in rooms and look more pleasing
-A few more detailed objects, especially for Viera settlements

Anyway, I wanted to chime in an let everyone know where I am with the update. It feels like an exciting time for the Viera, as they're finally seeing more well rounded features to equate them to the vanilla races. I'm sorry it has taken me as long as it has to get them to where they need to be, but I will take them there ^_^ I want to thank all of you for following my progress on this work, and for all of your support. It means a lot when people believe in you, and it feels like ya can move the world if ya tried. Thank you all for believing in me, and my work on the Viera!

Happy 1.0, people! So I am working at posting a playable update today. The ship is not finished, but I guarantee when I update next, it will be there, a long with other goodies! At the moment, I'm trying to iron out some issues, and round them out a bit more for playability, as I test everything I've added in today's build. I willlll say that you'll get a sneak peak of the ship from far away as it escapes the planet at the beginning, although keep in mind some details may change. Speaking of which, I've been rather silent about the Viera story, and how I'm going to incorporate that into the game. I'll touch more on what I've got planned when I post the update (hopefully later today), so keep an eye out, Viera enthusiasts!
