RELEASED WIP: The Viera of Ivalice 0.3.2

I saw that this mod was uploaded today:

Supposedly, it fixes an issue with your mod that causes guards to die when talked to... so I think it's a good idea to incorporate the fix into your base mod, Amazon.

This may sound a bit aloof but, are there any servers that host Viera as a custom race? I was hoping to find one mainly because I wished to show off what this mod had to offer more than the singular player but I can't seem to find one.

 

I guess not? Are we allowed to run multiplayer with this or no?

ALSO: Heads up there's some issue with the guard walk ins. So I have just the Viera mod and the xbawks, to increase the character menu creation size? (It was necessary as stated in your instructions), but when I walk into town guards randomly die. No other mod is being run so I must assume it is this mod that causes that bug.

 

I know that Starbound Serenity uses my assets, but I'm not sure of any other servers that use my Viera mod. I haven't had my own guards in game randomly die. I'll check it out again though, but I do know of an issue with one of the guard files that I need to post a fix for.

 

For Clarification I can post any screen shots and documents you need. I've noticed it with the APEX guards and their apartment settlements. Funnily only 1/3rd of the Avian guards die in my approach, but if i have a weapon drawn all just perish.

Edit: Also I don't believe they [Starbound Serenity] use the Viera, after checking their site. Is this mod allowed for multiplayer? -I could admit it for another server's mod pack-

Edit Edit: Wait nvm, you said not too. Anyway thanks for looking it up for the folks. I really appreciate the time spent on making the crafting system gorgeous. I easily loose hours trying to make the different wood patterns for housing in the villages.

Well done! Thanks for responding as quick as you did ^^. If you happen to find or develop a server that allows the usage of your mod I'd love to know. LAN is kind of finicky when you don't have access to your own router because it belongs to your school. Thanks in advance!

 

Hi, I'm in the middle of making an extended dialog mod for custom races (since the default conversations are getting quite boring when you use different races and get the same results), and the Viera is planned to be in it. I still have a ton of dialog to go through though, and I could use your help in writing a line or two. (That means you too, Viera fans! Not just the mod-maker!)

I have to ask, as I don't want to play up to this point and be unable to continue- I know that not all the armors are sprited yet, but is it still possible to craft them? If required to, could I craft the t6 armor even if it's invisible? Or is it simply impossible to get anything past t5? I don't cheat in Starbound, and all of my characters live in seperate worlds so as not to share resources, so I'd hate to not be able to get end-game armor. Even if you just used another races armors as a placeholder would be fine. Just want to know before I get invested in a character of this race.

 

They currently use human placeholders. So you can craft all tier armors, but most are the human place holders.

Hey! Made a new head for the Viera to suit my personal desires (Read: Look more in-line with the Ningen, which I also use), is it alright if I post it here for other people to use?

 

Why don't you show what it looks like here?

 

Mod assets are listed at "Do not alter" and I don't want to piss the author off by redistributing without permissions. Since I got banned for a day for doing that before (See: Ningen > Human Replacer Mod) I really don't want to risk it.

 

I'd like to see what ya came up with, so feel free to post a pic here ^_^ I'd prefer it not be distributed though. The size of the eyes (especially) were chosen to fit well with the head armors I had already designed, so I'd like to stick with that.

 

Amazon already responded but he is not so petty that he would get angry because you are showing off a screenshot or two of your customized Viera in the Viera discussion thread. If you were redistributing the mods assets without his consent, that would be angering... but you're not.
