RELEASED WIP: The Viera of Ivalice 0.3.2

The Viera of Ivalice have fled to the stars

    The problem is that I never see my character. Basically what happened is that when I died, instead of seeing the animation of my character being regenerated, the game simply crashed. When I logged back in, I see the ship focused on the teleporter, but my character either isn't there or is invisible. Then the game crashes again. So far I've had this happen twice and from what I can tell it may have something to do with the White Mage Staff. Both times this happened I accidentally damaged myself with that staff right before I died. It could also simply be having the staff in my inventory.

    I'm not 100% sure the White Mage Staff has something to do with it, but I've since made a new character and I avoided so much as even making that staff and I haven't had any problems yet.

    No, what you are describing is that you died and the game screwed up. Heal yourself like I said to. It's like every other thread in Support...

    Sorry to hear you're having troubles. I'm not sure what would've caused it. Honestly, this mod has not been officially updated to the current build of the game, so there's a good chance it may be buggy with the game's current build. I've been holding off on the update in hopes that I could finish a lot of new content that I've started, but I'll *definitely* just go ahead and post an update for the files so it will be completely compatible with the game's current build. Expect to see it in a day or two, but there most likely *won't* be any new content for it, besides a big change to the namegen files.

    It seems to only be a problem with the white mage staff from what I've seen. I haven't had the problem since I stopped using it. On a side note, this race seems to cause problems with the deed spawn system as well. No crashes, but the deeds simply won't spawn anything while the race is active. Also, all the tiered armors are registering as unidentified items.

    Yes, again, this is due to the fact that this mod has not been updated to the current build of the game. Because of that, it will be buggy until I can update it.

    friendlyguard.npctype.patch uses completely incorrect syntax, causing these log errors:

    How do I know? Experience reporting this exact issue in other race mod threads. Please fix it.

    I've checked my own log files for errors, but have yet to see this one crop up...I'll look into it and see about fixing it when I can, but for the future, please approach me with bug issues in a non-condescending manner.

    Condescending? I did not mean to come off that way. I was just recalling my previous efforts to track down the cause of basically-the-same errors in the past, which led me to realize that both the Avali and the Felin incorrectly patched into friendlyguard.npctype, leading to patch conflicts with other mods.

    ...and deleting this mod and test launching it made me realize that your mod is not causing this issue at all. Should have tested this earlier. It's the Mantizi. Apologies, Amazon.

    Sorry, it's difficult to read into text responses at times, and I didn't mean to offend either. Its also been a busy, stressful day for me, which can cause me to be extra snappy. Anyway, I'm glad you were able to resolve the issue. Do let me know if you find any other problems/oddities with the Viera. I've got some hefty work on the guard files to do still, and reworking the npc spawners into functioning tenant files has been a learning process for me, I must admit, so there's bound to be a few bugs.
