This is probably my biggest problem with the new build (which tells you how much I'm enjoying it so far). As a packrat, I have tons of storage devices. Not all of it is sorted as nicely as it should be yet (I haven't rebuilt my colossal compound yet, still searching for a suitable planet... anyone got a forest/tropical world with a USMC prison nearish beam-in, "visitor basement" building on the far end from beam-in?), thus I need to skim the contents. Closing containers with "E" was super-useful since my fingers were already right there. PLEASE bring that back. I'd be happy if we could also grab the scrollbar on those windows and drag it up/down. I'm also debating whether or not the contents of those menus should be alphabetized. I'm not sure what's being used to sort them, but it's kinda... haphazard. I think good old ABC might help find things in this long, long list. (Yes, I know you can search, but every little bit helps.) I love that backpacks stack now. I wish all Vanity Armors stacked. I VASTLY prefer the new MM to the old pick/drill system. Granted, I'm predominantly a builder, and as such, tearing down dungeons and microdungeons for building materials is a major part of my play. Not having to jump up to rip apart a ceiling is GREAT. I might compile the big list of thoughts later, for whatever that's worth. But overall, I'm liking where this is going... it just needs tweaking here and there.
I have a question about starter pets. I see you fixed the cat AI. But when are we gonna get our starter pets? Would really love to have a tiny cat following me
well ok, i admit the design made me think of "mid-high difficulty" which is sorta... unfitting as the first boss because you need a few things that are totally easy to pass by (like tech cards and actually useful healing items) but still, those can be blocked given you positioned yourself right, or went right under the laser
I think it sorts items by "level" in crafting windows (and it's covered by "NEW" too) and by pixel price in 3d printer window. And by the way. Recently I finally found some time to play Fallout: New Vegas. And then I immediately realized how clever all the little item sorting/searching things that are implemented in Starbound.
I still kind of wish they had a checkpoint right before the boss. Its a tactical fight you might not be prepared for/ it might take you a few tries to figure out, and running back down when you die is a little exhausting (not to mention you dont get your bandages and stuff back). A checkpoint would be great, at least until there is more than the adventure/combat route for people who suck at platformers (like me haha).
...And all my new characters still shares the same planet. Ok, I'll wait for _another_ update... Looks like simple omission, isn't it?
You don't get bandages back, but the chests in the mine tend to be pretty generous with their bandage counts. And it's not hard to pull together a buncha plant matter to make more, at least. I do like that failing the mission at least puts you back at the ship so you can prep and re-stock.
There's another glitch i get when i play single-player, it causes my character to glitch through the ground until he dies, then it happens again.
that would be an amazing thing to have, they still havent figured out how to do checkpoints in planet exploration, if i had to guess it ll be some time before they add that. hoping they will at least
A recent multiplayer bug I experience when playing with my mates is we have trouble beaming to one another's ship. When you click their name it's says their you, which leads to beaming to your own ship.
Yeah, I am having that exact issue as well. My server is a dedicated linux box and the problem only happens to some people on the server, but not all. --edit: the issue only occurs when you try to beam to the person on top of the party list
I'd like to list a bug. If you open a chest/box/storage unit, then press E again to close it, it doesn't close but instead opens another window, and it stacks and stacks until you close it by clicking the X or walking away. I can tell it stacks because the transparent shadow'd border gets darker each time E is hit, darker and darker until it's solid black. Also been having an issue looting at times, usually happens when I shift-click to loot or deposit items, game crashes. Doesn't happen all the time, but it can cause items to vanish. Tried taking a stack of 100+ uranium rods and it crashed the game, logged back in to find the rods not in the box of in my bags. Seems I'm not the only one with this issue, googled it earlier and found others posting about it.[DOUBLEPOST=1422906887][/DOUBLEPOST] That's happening to me as well, the preview changes each time I look at it after looking at something else.
Yes, it seems to be only occurring to me out of my friends. I am usually the party host so that may be the issue.
Same here, on Mac OS. Even if it might be an interesting idea (the later you are "born", the lesser are the ressources and "wtf did our ancestors do to this galaxy?") as I'm hosting multiplayer games the planets get emptier and emptier from party to party. I failed to ask others if they have the same problem - do you?
