I checked out a couple of the videos Molly posted although I think I would rather wait wait to experience most of the gameplay myself. I'm off work the next two days so plenty of RoR today & Starbound all day tomorrow. :chucklefish:

768Kbps to 1Mbps on a good day. Though the connection isn't 100% stable (some days it's worse than dial-up). It's advertised as satellite internet but It doesn't have data caps or absurdly high ping when gaming so I guess that's good (120ms average) weather has never impacted the connection either so that's a plus (one day it can storm and works fine the next day not a cloud in the sky and it constantly disconnects). The only other providers in my area are big satellite providers that put you on data caps but offer higher speeds. Still not worth it if I'm on a 15gb cap that I could burn though in week if I had the speeds it came with (10Mbps).

So far I'm really happy to hear that the devs have done as much as possible to make the multiplayer use the least amount of bandwidth possible.

Edit: I've seen my friends with 20Mbps complain about how slow their internet is downloading at 2MB/s and Im just sitting there hoping to hit 180KB/s.
I'm moving into a Google Fiber zone as soon as I can...

Uck... that is awful. Satellite always has issues and the speeds are always in the range of terrible to average.

You're friend is probably one of those people that have never had bad internet. You don't know what you've got unless
you have something worse to compare it to. I hope you get faster internet soon!
