Will we be able to name our ships?

probably not, seeing as there's no actual movement physics for when the ship moves. If anything, I bet the ship doesn't actually even go anywhere, and its just the background moving since I think I saw a stream where they were dropping items outside the ship and they just fell straight down.

let's just say its like Futurama

the engines don't move the ship, the engines move the universe around the ship

Considering the ludicrous amount of utterly nonsensical features they're implementing, it would be horrendously ironic if something so obvious and simple as "ship naming" was not available.

 

I hope so. My Hylotl's ship will be named '' Fat Seal ''

 

It would be wonderfull I will call it Bucketizer 3000 because my glitch will have the name Sir. Buckethead the Fourth

Ther are soooo many names that are cool and badass and whatever else, i think i cannot decide that permanently. Hope if we can name it that we can rename it everytime

So if 2 ships, using the futurama space drive that moves the universe around the ship, started their engines facing one another and accelerated forward at full speed towards one another (aka both ships trying to move the universe around themselves in opposite directions) would they eventually tear the universe in half? It is an interesting prospect, I mean, in theory 2 ships equip with this drive could open a fracture in space and time destroying the entire universe in the process . or do you hold belief that the universe is made of 'tough' stuff and it would cause both ships to stand still, Like 2 tractors hooked up via chains trying to pull the other but neither succeeding?

Back on topic I might call my Ship 'The Duckling' if naming is available .

I'm more concerned with PAINTING the ship. Is everyone stuck with the same color or does the paint gun work on it?

It might be possible, though if there's no practical reason for it, like other players can't see it, it may not be an option.
