I think it will be on steam and cost 10 euro but i think it will be sales.

You know what's funny? Both realistic and 3D graphics make me want a game LESS. I prefer 2D pixelated graphics over 3D realistic graphics. Realistic graphics look too messy in my eyes, and I prefer simplicity. Hurray for my minor case of OCD! :p

I'm thinking it will most likely be on Steam since that would be a great way for them to reach a wide audience.

As for the price, I think it will go for $15-25 around launch. I'd gladly pay more than that but I don't know if the average consumer would for what they think is "another Terraria".

Agree with both 11clock and Lord Twinkle on the above replies. No matter the price, Starbound requires a super awesome trailer that will highlight it's unique features at the launch.

I think as well as terraria !

  6. Games with high-end graphics are more difficult for people with older computers/terrible graphic cards to play. Considering that the FAQ page says that they've had success playing on old hardware, people with netbooks can play while on the road, or just people who have "average" graphics cards.

That's a good bonus for lower-end graphics, but that's not the main reason why I like them. I just like the pixelated look more than the realistic look. Overall graphics don't really matter to me very much (I play games to play them, not to look at pretty things.), but I do have preferences.

Despite my age I prefer Sega Mega Drive over the batch of newest consoles. Eh, I'm probably just one of very few between all of those CoD kids out there. But hey, it's hard to appeal to the audience of this gaming generation in general. People get badmouthed for being slighty off on the physics compared to older games.
Honestly? I wouldn't care too much about trying to appeal to anyone, as I'm sure that most people of the Terraria fanbase will support and help this game become as popular as they can make it become.

I already know what game you're talking about and I agree. People can be picky.
You are right in saying Starbound will have the support of the Terraria audience (I admit that's why I'm so interested in this game) but it never hurts to try to broaden the audience as long as you don't compromise. The fact that Starbound has a story will help it appeal to people who aren't looking for just another sandbox game. At the same time, Starbound has the randomly-generated block-by-block building and mining elements that Terraria players have come to like, so they don't really compromise any of that.

The chance it won't be on Steam is as low as Team Fortress 2 ever being a balanced game.
    So...

    Get your hopes up, mates!

Steam provides a useful database in which to buy and look at games from it has been confirmed that it will be on steam and as for the price Tiy said that he wanted the game to be accessible to everyone so the price must be in a reasonable probably a bit more expensive then terraria in my opinioun.:)

    Suddenly, 89.99$
And all updates are 14.99$ DLCs.

    I mean, even the hotfixes.
    ESPECIALLY the hotfixes.

Very funny I know that the price whatever it is will be reasonable and that updates wont cost since Tiy says he dosent like the whole subscription fee way of payment which would be very similar to paying for updates which I can almost garuntee swont cost a dime.:)

Seriously, thats way too expensive, that would turn the rich to poor! o_O

Im guessing that starbound will maybe be $25.
There might be a $1 discount for all the terrarians out there too! So $24 for terrarians! :p
    Maybe not though...

    Authos Scruffy Nerf-Herder

True a discount would be nice but it would make it unfair on the rest of the communtiy who maybe decided they didnt want to get Terraria but think that Starbound was for them and as far asw price goes I am uncertain its confusing because Im english .
