Will there be any updates that wipe your save?

I know this stage of the beta says not to stay to attached to your characters, I was just wondering.

 

Yes, an update either today or tomorrow will wipe your save.

Idk exactly what that means (sorry for my noobyness I don't do forums that much) but I'm guessing it means replying to dead threads. If that's what you mean then kinda. Some people never get the information and the response helps them but mostly I just have nothing better to do because I cant play starbound at the moment, lol.
