will the game be infinite

    It will be infinite for all intents and purposes. You could play every day for the rest of your life and not visit every possible location. Is there a limit? Yes but you'll never see it.

    actually they said they will be adding tiny planets for things to happen on such as meteor strikes and such...basically scrap planets

    The problem with any game that adds random level generation is the game mechanics will get stale before you run out of new planets. Remember Diablo? One of the first games I played that randomly generated maps, and while each level would have a certain theme fixed to it I played it several times extra than if it didn't have the random maps. Randomly generated maps increase the lifespan of a game, so going through the same levels over and over like Red Faction or Doom isn't going to cause boredom. You will actually run out of things to do with said infinite maps over time.

    I'd still prefer randomly generated levels over pre-made fixed levels any day.
