Will Starbound be only available on PC?

I know it won't be disc based but like could I download it on the PSN store perhaps?

It might, they want everyone to be able to get the game.

 

Well that's impossible. Everyone cant get the game. Unless, Everyone is your brother, he could get the game.

 

It will be released on PC, Mac and Linux. Nothing official is said about it being released on the Ouya.

 

I'm pretty sure they're trying to, at least.

 

I thought tiy said they havnt directly tested on a linux?
but long story short, yes, it shall only be available (from the beginning) PC (windows, Mac etc.)

 

I never knew Starbound was going on Mac, first time I've heard about it. Which is actually quite cool.

I'm positive on Windows and Mac, but unclear on Linux. I think by this time, Linux users would be used to not getting tons of games anyway. Ouya is also unclear, but, there has been mention that Chucklefish won a Ouya dev kit and would like to get SB onto it.

But to answer Galaxy's answer more directly, no, consoles (PSN/PS3, XBLA/XBOX, Wii/WiiU) and tablets/mobile phones and handhelds are not happening currently. If they do, it could be a while. If you don't have a computer, you can get a cheap laptop for about $300 that most likely could run Starbound.

 

Ok let me rephrase that, Many people. After the PC release they will see how viable a console release is.

It probably won't be released on PSN for a long while.
Terraria has been out for around two years and it's only seeing a console release now.

 

I bet they'll eventually release it for the consoles.

I did read that, I thought from the way people were talking about it that it might have been changed.
