Will each race have a "unique" voice?

Maybe after release, they've got enough things to do now before the beta. But I think that would be a logical addition and probably will be implemented.

What I'm wondering if when damaged there will be a unique sound effect for each race screaming with agony?

 

I think it would be rather ironic if the avians just squawked and the apex had beautiful voices.

 

I sure wonder how would they communicate with humans and other species if they could only make chiptune music...

You mean the chirpy singing from the update, that stated it was a heavily WIP, well being that it was heavily WIP, I would suppose the chiptune voice was more for their, devs, amusement, though I find it funny too, and will likely not make it to the final version, though it would be nice to have an option to select chiptune to normal and even a slowertune, but whatever they choose I will likely enjoy.

 

Avian Chirptunes lol. I figure the Novakids would sound kinda echo-y. Like talking in a tunnel full of helium or something. I've got kind of a wild guess in my head on what I'd expect all the races to sound like, except for the Florans. Bloodthirsty plants dont really strike me as the singing type.

 

For some reason, I think the Apex will sound like the White Stripes, the Hylotl like Atlas Genius, and the glitch like T-Payne.

Someone said this on the July 12th update. "The glitch singing should be dubstep." I totally agreed with it.

Plants probably won't need to talk. Maybe they will communicate by a touch kind of telepathy and through the release of hormones? Plants naturally have pores on their surface for gas exchange.

 

Considering they are practically sentient star's, they would be made mostly of hydrogen and helium.. soo... much squeakier, and likely zealous in the flavor of thing's.

I doubt we'll get actual voice dialog in Starbound. I think it would disturb it's quaintness, if you understand my meaning.

 

in a stream, I've heard a Glitch make a weird beepy sound when he got hurt. Other than that, I don't know. I assume if the glitch have their own sounds, all the other races do too.

How much detail and how often they make sounds though, I dunno. I assume our characters won't be that noisy, but thats ok with me.
