Why the hell haters "hate"

well we all have seen it that comment that says"rip off of terraria" or "this is so stupid you copyd terraria"
or i once even seen a comment that said "THIS IS A MINECRAFT rip off"

we know why they hate ....sorta but my question is why EXACLY do people hate people like totalbiscuit repeatedly say stuff like "Game evolve off other games taking ideas from diffenent games to make theres better" and he is right

basicly i wanna know does anyone have a really good reason why people hate

also why the hell haters come on the forums

you shouldn't concern yourself with that angsty vocal minority.

just let them be, if they need to hate to be able to sleep at night, let them hate.

Haters hate because people praise the game beyond there own regards for it also people hate on the forums because it is far easier to find the weakness in someones words then the strength. Also disagreeing with people causes people to takes sides which will bring people to agree and disagree with them, this however only fuels them to continue because they are getting reactions.
So for people who hate you are either with the thread or against it (most likely against it) and if your against it you need not be posting on that thread in the first place.

People need something to hate on, thats just how we humans work, and some tend to hate on games thats a "rip-off" of a game they like

 

People have different opinions, some like it, some don't. There is nothing you can do about it, unless you're an evil mastermind that is going to put humans into one collective where everyone's opinion is the same and has no individuality.
You'll see haters everywhere, but saying that this game is a rip-off from Terraria or Minecraft is silly. Starbound might be inspired by Terraria or Minecraft but it's not a rip off.

 

It happened the same in Terraria, everyone shouted MINECRAFT RIPOFF OGM OMG OMG....

but now it has it safe place in the Gaming hall of fame.

Starbound bounds to be a "ripoff" on first glance, but will sky higher than Terraria or Minecraft at success ratings.

 

People who call games who innovate upon older concepts "ripoffs" do not deserve the right to have an opinion and should be shot.

Generally the 'haters' are either very young and naive, or they're just too ignorant of the facts to be able to discern the difference between the 'rip-off' and the 'original'.

In reality all games rip-off others to a certain extent, whether it be the art-style, the mechanics, or just the theme/ genre in general. There is nothing wrong with this, if no developers took inspiration from other games then we'd still be stuck with Doom and Wolvenstein.

 

Well let's see gathering what i can from my thoughts I will try to go through there minds in my head.

1st they see it's 2d and has mining and crafting, Minecraft was popular and had mining and crafting so that will pop up fast, and Humans are REALLY quick to ACT and a popular emotion is HATE
so they will probably without any information about the game start making assumptions and then jump to conclusions.

same with terraria really. they will look at starbound and just judge and not think about what it's adding and improving in an emerging genre, because they do not see it as a genre they just see minecraft, that's it.

Same type of people who did the whole Doom-Clone thing and all that, but now FPS is it's own Genre you do not see people saying CoD4 is a ripoff of Doom because you have a gun and shoot it at people do you?

Eventually we will hopefully stop seeing people calling something a minecraft rip-off because you can build a house and it has mining in it.

It stinks like ignorance and casts the subject into a drawer.
i remind you that everything that can be loved can be hated in equal proportions.
The word itself is a wordbullet that is directed at the Subject which seemingly has a negative stance toward any favorable topic and sets him low and is quite insulting.

I like both games and i think it shouldn't be your business why people hate on something that i like and have to punch him zealously until he is on my side of the argument.
By doing this you are no better than the 'Hater'

 

If You Think About, EVERY SINGLE GAME IS A RIPOFF. Apart From The One That started the Genre. All Shooters are a base ripoff off Doom
ETC.

 

People are free to voice their opinions of course, but I have a problem with it when they do it in a fan community. I'm not talking about simple criticism, I mean the ones that go around all day for days on end trying to steer people away from the game like it's their mission in life. Some are trolling, but others, I feel, think their ego is a bit inflated.

 

Same problem with Stardew Valley. Ignore them or educate them.

 

The majority of haters aren't haters. They be trolls.

 

Unfortunately, this is not entirely true. It's the bandwagon effect. It's very easy to follow a popular opinion instead of a more valid one.

 

Because it's the Internet. And probably because they're mostly trolls or ignorant. Don't listen to them.
