Why the fans are upset about Starbound

It definitely isn't your business. The most he would probably want to say, not speaking for Tiy, is that it's being used to fund Starbound. That's it. It really, really isn't your business. That's like saying you paid someone $20 for a game, and then demand updates, and knowledge... on everything. What they use to make coffee in the morning, when they go to use the bathroom. You sound like a stalker or something. Not insulting you, it's just how you come off as.

Not really legally they don't have to. We do not own stock in the company we were only promised beta and full release.

As much as Tiy can irk me, he's right. I don't even tell people my part-time job wages. Ask all you want what specifically the money is going to, but never ask what someone makes. That is rude.

 

This thread is starting to look less like genuine concerns and more like flame bait....

 

Also, it was clearly stated in a FAQ that the game would "be out in 2013. No matter what." And now, we are told it's going to be 2014, just because things got "weird". Nothing else, just "weird, opps..."

People are going to feel like they were misled, and naturally they would ask "Well, why was it delayed?" And I'm sure they'd want the why; telling people all along these delays were because things went "weird" isn't an answer, it's a cop-out and doesn't answer the question.

Should have never said that they game would be out in 2013 "no matter what". Should have just not specified anything, but then maybe not as many people would have preordered?

Clever ruse, either way.

Molly, when you update the Roadmap, notify the whole community. Not by creating a thread, but in a way you do with website updates, by putting on-site alerts. ❄
People tend to rejoice when they see something interesting being updated after a long hiatus. Make them happy. Bring the joy. ❄

 

I think this thread has served its purpose. Even if unnecessary. Now it's only stepping on toes that really don't need it
