Since this is a joke thread in the first place, I might as well put a question that I've been needing to ask, even if it's offtopic, I've been wondering about it.

Nice. I always thought that sigs gave a bit of flare and life to a forum, and I was wondering why they weren't there.

 

I figured that out awhile ago, that would have helped me find the forum clan i wanted to join SOOOOOOOO much faster. Then made me wonder what awesome sigs i have missed.

I don't even think it's asking you not to mention them, it's saying "respect your fellow community members, space hobos, and star pilgrims."
besides, otherwise it wouldn't make much grammatical sense asking you not to mention them in that context.
