Why No Xbox Version?

So as anyone else have heard starbound announced they porting to PS4, PS3, and PSvita but sadly no Xbox One or Xbox 360 versions. Anyone know why starbound would ignore Xbox owners even though the console has developed a large membership of console owners and Terraria was extremely popular on both consoles and this game screams Terraria but Space themed?

 

Im pretty sure, its planned... just might have to wait for a while before console ports.

 

Oh god I hope your right I loved Terraria on both Xbox 360 and PC but would love to play Starbound on Xbox one and Xbox 360

 

They haven't discounted other platforms.

Sony just went out of their way to approach and draw in indie devs to the platform.

Chances are you will see an Xbox version in the future but we will have to wait and see. When the time comes they will no doubt look in to MS's indie program and see if it will benefit the company and the game.
(Not hating on MS but their old indie practices bordered on robbery so it would be good to see them changing how they draw in indie titles too)

 

Hope they do bring it to xbox one but I will admit MS had a problem with indies too but hopefully new indie program makes it better but I will be crushed if it comes out on ps4 and ps3 first since last I checked one of the rules for ID@Xbox is the parity clause where it said "that self-published games must be released on Xbox One before or simultaneously with other platforms" which might stop it from coming to xbox one.

 

Microsoft... what a shame i'm still using Windows..

 

Well Windows compared to others is quite good to be honest compared to lame MAC I will never use that kind of computer again.

 

if windows wasn't the most used OS i would probably using Linux/Ubuntu, but since a great majority of the programs, games and everything else is for windows eh.

 

Oh god that one is shoot yourself in the foot material. I can see why such a policy could exist, just not why you would apply it to small developers who might not have the resources at that time.

Not saying they are evil but it seems to be a common habit of non gaming business practices not understanding the industry. Putting someone more knowledgeable about gaming in charge of the Xbox's direction was a really good start.

Probably they don't like xbox one's operating system since its so similar to windows 8.1 System.
