Why I won't be playing an Apex in multiplayer anymore.

But that does not make it right. And saying that if you can't take it you should go, or use something., or play game; is the standard retort of bully's and jerks the world over.

 

So, to all of you saying that this is a pointless thread I have this question: Have you never had a bad day at work/school/whatever and come home to talk to family or friends about what bothered you? It's called catharsis. It's not meant to elicit sympathy necessarily, or to try to get anything done or changed. Sometimes it's therapeutic to just talk about what is bothering you, with someone that might understand what you are talking about, or is at least somewhat interested. Also known as venting or blowing steam.

And if you've never had that kind of a situation, where you have had someone you could just talk to, then it explains your nasty attitudes here.

So a person is an idiot, since you believe spewing racial slurs like a child makes them an unique and successful person? Hmm, oh no, you're not sad or lonely at all, I'm sure you have a social life too.

 

I'm not a minority, but I've had people make fun of demographics that I pertain to right in front of my face. Race has a spotty history. There are, regrettably so, genuine racists in this world, but they weren't the people on your server. Those people who were making those jokes were doing just that, making jokes. They're physically no different than previous generations' "yo momma" jokes, the difference being the aforementioned history behind them. Maybe since you're a little bit of an older fellow, you grew up where it was still more of an issue and the people telling these jokes were actually racists, but both of us know that isn't the case anymore. Every race has jokes, even non-minorities, and these days most people are able to laugh at these jokes pertaining to their own race. On the other hand, these "jokes" you have mentioned aren't particularly funny, just racist jokes for the sake of being racist. This still doesn't mean the people making them are racists, however. It's more like an internet meme at this point and the kids making them don't realize that it's distasteful.

In my opinion, your best choice is to realize that these people probably wouldn't care that you were black if they knew, and would immediately apologize if they knew it upset you. I can't tell you to just "get over it", it doesn't work that way. Just try to take what I said and use it as a pinch of salt to put over the situation next time this happens to you.

 

Ah, I see it now. I think this scenario is still a little bit different, because I have a feeling that the OP will play an Apex in the future, just not with randoms.

 

Racial slurs are spouted so much, They're not even offensive anymore. I have never been offended by being called a cracka, Or by saying I'm just another white guy. It's evolved beyond that.

 

So what are you going to do? Call the Internet police and back-trace these mean ol internet bullies?
Grow some some backbone, and stop seeking comfort for your own insecurities.

Is anyone making the Apex out to be "black people"? The initial issue was with someone calling an Apex a monkey fucker. Given that Apex are monkeys and that they need to procreate in some way to keep the race going, I don't think that is entirely inaccurate.

Also, The word negro isn't even a racial slur. It's spanish for black.
