Why I think that the beta should be nearly completely closed...

i both agree and disagree.
agree because the whole discovery thing is important and discovery is hard to do when everything is seen.
i disagee because i want to play or see it sooner!

 

Active isn't necessarily helpful, though. At this point there's very little known about the game so most of the posts here are either wild speculation or off topic completely. Stuff like Blue's information compilation topic is great, but obviously we don't need every single person to make one.

 

The people who are active are people who are actually putting forth an effort to be a part of the community.
Whether or not they're simply talking about Starbound, or they're constantly helping people doesn't matter.
They're being a part of the community and deserve a beta key over people who do nothing. IMO that is ^_^

 

Then They're not contributing.
Also, I can make ANY quote sound badass.

 

They are still being very dedicated to the game, constantly checking for new information/videos/pictures etc etc.
That's worth something

 

However it doesn't help the game development team.

 

Suggesting mercury does though.

True. I don't believe that only the people contributing on the forums should get keys, I just think that they should be at the top of the list / first to get keys

On topic: I hardly played Terraria legitly because, I knew everything about it before it was released.

 

I'm heading to bed (4:07AM here). So basically to sum up everything up::

The beta should be a closed beta, with little advertising ?

Then of course how the keys should be distributed throughout forum members::
