Why can I only break this instead of building this?

So I'm chilling in a cave just kicking ass, and getting my ass kicked and all of the sudden I see this....



The cutest thing ever. Little buildings, little lamp posts..... the cutest thing ever. So I bust out my pick.... pixels..... so I bust out my matter manipulator..... pixels.......


I need to be able to find a way to break this without generating pixels so I can make a cute little town the surface of my homeworld.

This needs to happen.

 

I would love to be able to have a colony of people from the zelda game Minice cap or whatever the name was Little people either way.

I encountered this too, its pretty interesting, but the inhabitants aren't there.

 

I was trying to preserve it! I call no foul.

If little dudes entered and exited the house that were basically 3 moving pixels that looked like a gnome.

IE: in descending order red pixel, white pixel, green pixel, brown pixel

Red hat, head, green shirt, and brown shoes.

 

I agree. All Pixel dropping items should be able to be picked up with the Matter Manipulator and scanned. You just lose the tiny amount of Pixels they were worth.

 

Maybe pixels are sentient.

Would I rather have 40 pixels, or a town of cute little people houses? I mean the egg things I could care less, but there were some cool crystal things in a lab that I thought would be cool to decorate like little blue Christmas tree ornaments for my spaceship.

I would hang them with care. In the hopes that little people in the house would be there. And if there were little things that would walk around outside of the houses I would basically infest my entire ship like they were tribbles.

So when I die does that mean I'm releasing them into the wild? Or am I selling them for my new life?

Those pixels should seriously need to learn how to invest themselves better. I'd say long term mutual funds should help.

Look up the creative mode mod, kinda makes your game unstable but you can simply get all the recipes, then remove it, then you can buy these from 3D printers I believe.

Ugh... I see people complaining over these religious objects common in Asian and South-American religions that appear in Starbound (thanks to all the Hytlol and Avians),
and everyone is angry that when they destroy shrines containing Bones and Ashes of the dead, they get pixels, instead of a Doll-house, candle, or other crazy junk...

I know it would be logical if the player acquired Ash Blocks, or Bones, or Pixels, but players complain about wanting to make the objects, let alone for them to be inhabited... by what, a ghost? Ugh... maybe I shouldn't be so educated...

They want people to live in Shrines that contain ashes and bones...
They also don't realize that those are not Tiny Houses but Shrines because they refuse to learn about various cultures and peoples that exist in real life.

 

I'm honestly unsure of what point you're trying to make.
Is the community a bunch of crazies because when they destroy the shrine/pot/urn/doll-house, they're looking to acquire said item, and not it's possessions?
Are you referring to the Doll-Houses specifically? Are they some form of shrine in some culture I don't know about? Do some people store the ashes of loved ones in Barbie Doll-Houses?

 

They are not Doll-houses. Stop mistaking them for that please. So far you still have not specified what the houses are supposed to represent. What's worse than an ignorant person is a person who calls others ignorant and does not try to alleviate it. You sir are just being a douche bag and should be the one being reported. I have done extensive research and have not come up with any references of these tiny houses in ANY religion. In game it is only refereed to as "Tiny House" with the description of "Little house on the prairie, or wherever you are." This house is not supposed to resemble any kind of religious shrine in any way. I don't know where you got this assumption but it now sounds like you are the ignorant religious fanatic who has no idea what they are talking about.
