Why are the USCM building a superweapon?

    I seem to recall that the second one corrected that problem and still manged to do poorly... and as I recall, wasn't the prototype driven into a star?

    The rest of the universe is blocking USCM's view of Venus. They're simply searching for a stockpile of missing Illudium Pu-36 explosive space modulators last seen in the possession of a very rascally rabbit.

    Everyone knows that you can't have planet-shattering kabooms without explosive space modulators.

    they were most likely trying to build it up when they heard of the ruin
    they all feared that he would return so they started building a weapon to prevent the ruin from attacking the earth
