I was playing a modded playthrough of starbound, when I decided to shift my camera over out of curiosity, this is what I saw. If i try to get over, the ship cutscene will play out when i hit the ground, so yeah. Any idea why this guy's here?
It is defiantly not a vanilla Starbound race. I believe it is the modded race called the Mantizi, created by user UnsubRedun. Perhaps @UnsubRedun could answer our question.

Oh, also, proof that it's probably an NPC is that it blinks, I forgot to press alt/option to see if I could interact, but I could make a new character to see.
