So who's ready to get my PSN name and play this with me?

I don't have the console but I hope our Sony Console using pals have fun when the game comes out.

Now for people who do not know:
I just want to mention the video seem to be a remix of the PC launch trailer.

The port was planed since before the beta and work is not supposed to be done on it till the game release on PC.

 

Meh, with no intention of buying a PS4 any time soon, I can't rightly get excited about this. But hopefully it's as good as the PC version will be.

 

If the plans are still the same it is supposed to be about a 1:1 port of the PC version (some things might be tuned to work better on a console like graphics options or max entities/particles on screen). Not even supposed to have exclusive console only content if I recall.

 

Eh.

I'll tell you what I am ready for though: The Full Release.

 

That would be nice, but I am ready for is really just more content at least, I mean full release means only one more year of full support till it goes to a smaller team.

 

I've been playing Terraria right now because it's been getting updates and simply has far more content (plus it's far more rewarding and doesn't have the cheap grind progression system Starbound has).

If CF could just roll out that Final Planet Wipe, I would start building again in Starbound, but until then, I'll be building Valhalla in Terraria.

 

That makes sense. Starbound is fun and all but the progression really on pixels which are currently solely from those capsules and enemies does get annoying, Especially when you toss your drill and have to rebuild it and now have to make 1000s of those little pieces of 3D printer fuel.

Also yeah it would be nice to have the final planet wipe finished.

Off-topic: Hope to see some images of your recreation of Valhalla.

I do love modding games and also having access to the console. But I would be fine with our console using friends being able to join in on the fun.

 

Yes, But people still buy things like Minecraft on consoles which arguable is underwhelming after a while. I do feel sorry for the people who will not get to play some of the most popular mods for the game because they have the console version though. They will never know of your mods or the viral sensation of something like the Avali race.

Maybe like what happened with my friend and MC the console port will get people interested in it when they see their friend (or the person they are dating) playing it on the console and get the PC version since they don't own that console.

 

I've trying to be looking for a reason to get a PS4, honestly, but so far nothing's really popped up. :v

So far, anyway. I'm actually hoping and holding out for it the PS4 and Starbound's definitely one of the ones I'm gonna get on that system. I feel like it could be a good fit, especially considering the touch-pad is there, so... maybe that could work like that.

 

I still have no reason to pick up any consoles. I won a Wii U and that's the only modern console I have. I won't touch PS4 because both me and my brother's PS3's died due to a design flaw in the smaller hard drives of those units and Sony stated they'd charge 100 bucks to fix something that is likely a simple soldering job.

I have a 360 and I won't pick up Xbox one because it doesn't have anything I want that I can't get on PC. The only thing I want is Phantom dust and rumor has it that it will be on PC and I am hoping so much for that.

Wii U has some games that I'll be playing, but I'm still sticking with superior PC.


As far as starbound goes, I have it for PC and that's what I will play it on.

 

100$ for a soldering job? I really need to get licensed to do tech repairs. You would think they would not charge so much for fixing a design flaw.

Hopefully this post gets some more console owners, so far all the replies have been PC owners who are more or less "meh might get it if i win a PS4 or something" or just "nah".

 

i think im gonna wait for starbound to be done before even consitering it on ps4

that and PC has mods sooooo..........

 

hopefully it's as good as the PC version will be.

 

1. Game not even ready for PC. Maybe it never will be?
2. Mods. Can't join a game without the same mods as yours, either (in most cases). This will be a bigger problem between console and PC players.
3. Name one game on both PC and console that is "as good" on console. Consoles are always inferior or limited in some way with some minor exceptions (simplistic platformers and such).

So... nope. And I have a PS4, there's just simply no reason I can think of I'd want to use it for this kind of game.

 

Resident Evil, Silent Hill.. etc.. i mean it was a console game first and got ported to pc but with a good gamepad you can enjoy it, further PC version does offer more graphic settings so a + for that.


devil may cry. Battlefield i rather play BF on PS3 than on pc. and if i do play it on pc i hook up my controller to it.. but no matter what Both versions are good!


But in the end it's PC MASTER RACE

 

Lets face it,consoles are just cheap PCs with less function,less power,less economic freedom(Steam sales dont exist on Consoles) and end up being WAY more expensive in the long run...

Looks like Hype worthy but I honestly doubt it will be anything good,honestly.

Also how are they going to keep it interesting through a almost unlimited universe?

Meh,like most,I have goven up on anything Console like.400 is a big number and for that I can get a half decent pc.

 

I want the full game first before I can truly get excited about this. I was initially excited when I saw it.....then I got sad...
